Happy SCO put up or shut up day.
IBM's motion to compel's term is up today, so SCO had until yesterday (I think) to give IBM specific code that they allegedly placed in linux from the SysV source code, and now IBM has a court date on the 23rd of January to tell the judge whether or not that was sufficient evidence.
Score one for justice! In honour of today's celebrations, Novell has released a bunch of correspondence, apparently pissed off as all hell that SCO is threatening Novell's customers despite having no right to do so. Sadly, SCO's stock hasn't been reflecting the "fuck yous" resounding in the entire technological community, and I kinda feel sorry for any investor that's still gonna have a shoe in the door when the ball drops on SCO's little vacation lately. Happily though, Darl was only able to gather a single profit quarter, and since then they were dropped into the red because of (get this) legal fees. Eventually this is going to crash harder than the dotcom boom, and with any luck a couple of extortion charges as well. If you have no clue what I'm talking about Educate thineself. |
