a free party would never work. think of all those that wouldnt be able to experience plaza for one last time due to a crammed venue probably within an hour of opening.

yea... i guess the only reason a promoter would chip out $ to do this party would only be if the $ he/ she has in saving or watever is more than enough to support living.. then wouldn't mind using the extras for a party..
but if that promoter or watever is working his/ her daily life's ass off full time and having a hard time about financial problems or if he/her uses that $ for the plaza party then it will result in alot of problems for that month of living.. then i don't think it can happen... and plus... people that r giving the idea of having a free party is NOT being nice at all (i understand that would be nice tho.. :toasted: ), cus u r just giving a shit about ur own pocket and saving ur own money... but not supporting the scene at all... and u r just telling the promoters to spend shit loads of $ making u happy.... what IS fair and will show that people r supporting each other and supporting our P.L.U.R rave scene is by : ALL the promoters/ investors come out have a meeting or something... make a budget sheet to know exactly how much $ will be spent for the party... then make a prediction and a ticket price and just try to make this party result in a "break even" result... cus people, u don't have to worry... u will still be paying less this way.. cus rite now the current plaza parties u attend which r $35,$40,$45,$50,$55 or watever.. the promoter is still making profit.. so think about if they're not aiming for profit but JUST for a break even? tickets mite be as low as the undergrounds or mini parties u go.. :smoke1: :smoke1: :smoke1: :smoke1: :smoke1: :smoke1: :smoke1:

you guys are hilarious. you want more talent, more lazers, more this and that.... and you want it cheaper (even free!) .
I think it'd be cool to fill that second balcony with concession booths like oxygen bars, massage tables, uv body painting stations, activities (like i mentioned in the Godspeed post) just to take up room. make it look more busy, ya know? take up room and shit. even sell local dj's cd demo's for like $5 each at raves. if i knew i could pick up fresh shit every rave for 5-10 dollars, i'd skip out buying an extra water for somethign to listen to at home. its gotta have a creative stage. i hear stargate & fantasia were pretty cool. heat was cool because the stage was in the middle. i think we need more creativity with the lighting and visuals (not that they're not creative anymore, but they're just.... standard). In the breaks room, i'd put a breaker floor. i remember when crazy legs was here ripping it up on the decks. it was OFF THE HOOK. the theater if my favourite room. it has the most controlled atmosphere. i'd use more projection screens but not just in the center. all over the place. of crazy different things. at Shock Record Tours, they were showing pics of spiders breeding, bee's flying around, people crossing streets, escalators, money counters, etc etc. made no sense. but entertaining. Outdoor stage would be cool to do till like 12am. or 1am. then march people inside for the warm part. maybe the outside stage could be free. but definately not the indoor one. I think the problem with adding in more stages is that... it doesn't change the capacity of the venue. can still only hold 3000 maybe even 3300 through the night. but yeah, i agree with you guys. i'd put a stage by the main entrance too. there was one twisted party with a small stage there. and it wasn't ghetto like the 4th stage at IMF (no offence). and a fifth stage could go up in the VIP area (just for vip's). In terms of ticket prices, i'd keep them high. more quality = more cost. can't get into the biggest party of plaza's history for only $50 ya know. wierd how people can justify watching britney or chris rock for 3 hours and be ok with spending $65 and not $65 for a 3 room rave in a glass hall. even GTR thought the plaza was beautiful and that our crowds are just as pumped as everywhere else in the world. why can't we just STOP COMPLAINING. fucking jaded ravers. spoiled noobs. I'd have our staff go around and pick up bottles off the ground so people don't trip and shit. i know it's the plaza's job. but they obviously can't keep up with the crazy water drinking nammers. so, promoters mind as well keep that shit in mind and help. i'd keep it as dark as possible (like riverside style). i dunno. and then... i'd make it a full moon party. costumes, and everything. i'd hire out circus acts (like reality entertainment does) like stilt walkers, fire breathers, jugglers, go-go girls, drag queens, jesters, etc. etc. to make it feel like a show. *sigh* one day. one day. hey, how's this. get people to support the scene. the more who go, the more we can afford and the more quality parties.

we sell 5000 or 6000 tickets at $40. offer everything a rave is supposed to be. fill the room with the first 3000. and kidnap them all fnk style. i'm down.
