Girl Guy Magazines

Hey Everyone,

So me as being female, go out to buy a magazine. And I look for my fav. Cosmopolitian.

Ive noticed that in girl magazines that they give you advice about guys and relationships in general. However I dont seem to see advice in guy magazines about girls.

So just a question.... Guys: do you seek advise from other guys, or do you just go with your instinct.? Or is it written somewhere us girls dont know about?

Girls: Do you think guys should be reading what were reading olny in guy form?

I guess this questions goes out to people who read magazines a lot....

Also, I find that when guys have magazines of girls, the girls dont mind looking at other girls, yet it a girl were to have a magazine of a guy, the guy would definatly not look, why is that?

there is a secret unwritten code that all males are taught going through puberty, it is passed down through song and story as to never fall into the hands of women

The concept of "self-help" advice not being in guy magazines make sense... it follows general psychology really... Most guys don't like to read about self help stuff or that type of thing unless they are more in touch with there feminine side or have identified they have a problem and then "ask or seek" help. This is typically why guys like watching violent movies or the news or read the paper... to read about other peoples problems thus turning the attention away from there own!

Just a thought...

It totally has to do with attracting the attention of the reader. Quite often when we go and buy magazines, we stand there for a bit, flip through the contents, and then decide whether or not to buy it. Guys wouldn't really go for magazines that said "Top 20 Things That Woman Think About You"...it's just not what they're interested in. They care more about sex, sexy pictures of scantly dressed women, cars, gadgets, etc.

I tried reading cosmo once, but every freaking issue is the exact same! It just got so boring and repetetive. I felt stupider after reading it.

Agree with what's been said about guys just asking for help when they need it. It's with that whole masculine mindset thingie...

yea cosmos kinda bunk...it's like the magazine for the girls who didn't grow outta teen bop and seventeen

my sister reads cosmo so i flip through it sometimes, i find the advice is comon sense and extremely predictable...i guess they have more of that kinda thing in girl magazines cause girls need reasurrance to their actions, while guys just lay it out

I disagree with this, I find the advise that is given in cosmo helps me in some sort of way. They have many advice colums on fashion and makeup.

the relationship advice/quizzed in cosmo are complete ass.

it's the female magazine eqivilent of having two topless chicks rubbing each other.

thier fashion advice is meh. it's basicly Seventeen magazine for girls who get dick. i'd rate it worse trash than maxim.

hah you're cute

i'm pulling out the january cosmo just for you

page 46, 'his bedtime body language'...oh shit now you know a guy by the position he sleeps in!? did you observe the way your bf sleeps yet? i bet he's full fetal

ehhh i was actualy going to go through the whole magazine to help you understand that cosmos shit, but i think i'll just end up making fun of you and i gotta do things....but really, the articles are about stuff you should know from experience, comon sense and from your feelings.
i can maybe understand a 16 year old virgin reading the magazine, but it makes me cry to see grown ladies with boyfriends like you and my sister reading this junk...save your subcription money and buy you and your boy some sexy lingerie, nice lube, and some porn vids that'll make him cum harder then any magazine

yeah, when i go to the store to buy a magazine...I'll usually end up buying Maxim, Stuff, or FHM. Or Details. I just prefer mens magazines...

Cosmo's ok for amusement value.

it makes me laugh, cosmo repeats itself so bad. It will be like "10 hot and sexy things you should try on him" and then in the next issue it's like "how to go wild in the bedroom" and it's just a repeat of the last one!!! it's like that in every single issue!!! so hurting.

Maxim, Stuff, FHM, Men's Health, Men's Fitness and Playboy ALL have advice on sex, relationships and women in general. You know Cosmo's Ask the Guy Next Door? Men's Health has the EXACT SAME COLUMN but with asking the Girl Next Door.

On the whole, the sex/relationship/women advice is a couple billion steps higher in Men's Health than the sex/relationship/man advice in Cosmopolitan.

What kind of Men's magazines do you read to get such a completely WRONG understanding of them?
