Piracy Is Still Against The Law
I'm not joking - it say's so the the 'Pocket Criminal Code 2004'
"1> Piracy by law of nations - Every one commits piracy who does any act that, by the low of nations, is piracy. 2> Punishment - Every one who commits piracy while in or out of Canada is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for life. Piratical acts - Every one who, while in or out of Canada, a> steals a Canadian ship b> steals or without lawful authority throws overboard, damages or destorys anything that is part of the cargo, supplies or fittings in a Canadian ship c> does or attempts to do a mutinous act on a Canadian ship d> counsels a person to do anything mention in paragraph a, b or c, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisionment for a term not to exceeding fourteen years. " Take right out of the book!! |

although many do not know it there are still pirates today, who overtake cargo ships, steal their goods and often murder or strand the crew in international waters..here is some info. read the weekly piracy reports, interesting stuff
