Cannabis is blamed as cause of man's death
By Richard Savill
(Filed: 20/01/2004) A man of 36 is believed to have become the first person in Britain to die directly from cannabis poisoning. Lee Maisey smoked six cannabis cigarettes a day for 11 years, an inquest heard. His death, which was registered as having been caused by cannabis toxicity, led to new warnings about the drug, which is due to be reclassified this month as a less dangerous one. "This type of death is extremely rare," Prof John Henry, a toxicologist at Imperial College, London, said after the inquest at Haverfordwest, west Wales. "I have not seen anything like this before. It corrects the argument that cannabis cannot kill anybody." The inquest heard that Mr Maisey had complained of a headache on Aug 22 last year. Next morning he was found dead at the house he shared with a friend, Jeffrey Saunders, in Summerhill, Pembrokeshire. Michael Howells, the Pembrokeshire coroner, said Mr Maisey was free from disease and had not drunk alcohol for at least 48 hours. Post-mortem tests showed a high level of cannabinoids in his blood. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.../ixportal.html |

MASTURBATION BLAMED AS CAUSE OF MAN'S DEATH
By Dick Salve (Filed 20/01/2004) A man of 36 is believed to have become the first person in Britain to die of excessive masturbation. Hanz O'Johnson "tossed one off" six times a day for 11 years, an inquest heard. His death which was registered as having been caused by "wanking", led to new warning about the practice, which is due to be reclassified this month as "less hairy-palm inducing". "This type of death is extremely rare," Prof. Dick Wang, a jerkologist at Coxford College, Coxford, after an inquest at Bothhandson, west Wales. "I have not seen anything like this before, it corrects the argument that jerking off cannot kill anyone." The inquest heard that Mr. O'Johnson complained of a headache on August 22 last year. The next morning he was found dead at the house he shared with a friend, Jack Offaton, in Tissuehill, Spunkshire. Makem Howell, the Spunkshire coroner, said Mr. O'Johnson was free from disease and had not drunk alcohol for at least 48 hours. Post-mortem tests showed an extremely low level of semen in his nutsack. see how easy it is!!!!! |

so even if this wasn't propaganda, 1 death in the last oh...100+ years is pretty good.
i mean smoking and drinking have such a headstart killing people, the only way marijuana would catch up is if 10kg blocks of it started falling out of the sky and crushing heads. |

too much of anything isnt good for you but the article isnt really attacking marijuana. to me it just seems like one of those articles about weird happenings in the world.
besides, if caffeine (a LEGAL drug) is taken in very high amounts it'll kill you as well, but you dont see them doing any reports on that |

The most common Cannibinoid in Cannabis is THC. There are others CBD and CBN ar 2 other cannibinoids that produce measureable effects in regards to pain control and inflamation. Cannabis resins actually contain a complete "cannibinoid profile" that has been analyzed and some cannibinoids also have effects on the body but may not get you high but act as anti-covulsants(keeps you from puking up your AIDS medication) or the cannibinoid responsible for drastically or completely ending the normal course of seizures in people with epilipsy.
Isn't pot cool. |
