to be "in love" is too feel that your soul is complete, that the other half of you is always their to balance you out.

If you were to ever loose you soul mate, you would have no point in living, for without that person, which you spend your whole life searching for, you either wander the earth alone... or kill yourself becuase you KNOW that person is going to be their in the end.

and I don't think that I will spend the rest of this life alone because my soulmate has died

I'm afraid I don't agree - Some people don't get to find their soulmates in this life, some will and be together, some will and lose one another

to me the idea of soulmate means you spend more then this lifetime together, because i believe there is more to our journey then simply this trip.
it is not a search, beacuse if you are connected on that level you find one another when you are supposed to, look all you want - i doubt you'll ever find what you seek . People get so preoccupied in defining and searching that they miss out on all the other beautiful relationships life throws your way.

You know my thoughts on this -- I live life in part because he can't -

and love is something that is totally indepentdant from finding a soulmate - every love is worthwhile even if it's not a 'soulmate'
