Teach and Travel

What better way to spend you youth traveling the world. And what better way to experience life, caulture and ppl/kids then working in a whole new country?

Again im putting this idea to seriouse thought and am wondering if anyone else is maybe thinking of trying this expericence?

Who else SERIOUSLY will go for it !?!

I'm thinking about going for a year out to Korea. I've got it all set up, so I can pretty much leave whenever... my aunt runs a school, and two of my girlfriends are sitting pretty out there now.

Make sure that you get a solid teaching certificate; if you have a degree or diploma, it will benefit you in the types of schools that will accept you; try to learn a little bit about the country's customs prior to leaving - it's nice to make a first impression :kimmie:

I meant that IF you have a degree or diploma = more money & more stability (?)

I'm hoping to teach at the Hyundai company out Korea. English in relation to business. You don't do anything... and you get treated royally :c-tard:

But then teaching kids is less of a headache and a little more less corporate

I have been over this idea many many times. There is one really really good company whom you must have a degree to get into the program. It so popular and stable that it' got a year layback where you acaully have to regester now to go in 2005/2006 year. Once I find the site i'll post it. :c-tard:

I've done a lot of travelling, but I haven't done the teaching English thing yet. I just signed up for Canada World Youth and I'm going for the interview in about a month. If the travel schedule works out with my work/school schedule in the next half year or so, then I'll definitely go.

yah i put some thought into it this year cause cap offered an exchane program where you could continue your studies, teach and shit over in japan. but my program is too important to me, i wanna finish it first.

it seems extremely appealing, but really anything to do with traveling seems extremely appealing to me right now....

be careful with any of those certificate teach and travel programs.
after looking into doing it last year, i learned that without a BA you'll probably end up with a not so hot job (unless you have connections.)

im going to wait for the degree...

Right now im finishing upa program at capp to work as a TA for children with special needs K-12. Im not 100% sure, but I do think the program is some kind of diploma? If not its a qualified cirtificate in Canadian schools.
Agian b4 you teach and travel you need an appropriate corse/certificate to teach ESL in other counrties. Any sugestions?
And yes very important you learn and understand a fair amout about where you paln on going.
