US preliminaries have also shown that a lot of Americans are feeling the same way. The chances of Bush be re-elected in 2004 is apparently pretty slim. Bush and his whole administration have ultimately shown that they are too narrowminded to lead in a world that is changing in ways that they can't handle.

^ Where'd you get that info from?
I thought his approval rating was higher than ever after they found Saddam? Combine that with the fact that all the Democratic candidates are -weak-, and you've got a pretty good chance of getting to watch Letterman and Leno make fun of him for another four years. |

I was watching some preliminary coverage a couple of days ago and apparently after his State of the Union address there was a bit of a change of minds. A young democrat fellow, I honestly can't remember his name at the moment, is apparently winning people over quite rapidly. He has more of an open mind and from what I understood is identifying very well with young voters across the country.
I wish I could remember more but I never paid that much attention. I figured that I still had plenty of time to pay attention in the future as their campaigns all fire up. Sorry I can't give you any more info... |

^ It's probably Howard Dean from Vermont. He's a 40 something year old doctor. Eventhough he's the most popular Democrat right now, he still doesn't really stand a chance.
I think that most young voters have democratic view, but the problem with them is that they dont' vote. |

i haven't seen any of the recent primaries, but dean was so far 0/2 when he was the favourite.
dean is my only hope. simply because kerry is a total bush lacky imo. note: i know it sounds crazy conspiracy, but wouldn't you totally expect this admin to pull out osama about a few months before the election? and if they got busted for 'holding' him, they could say they were interrogating him hence the secrecy? and there are so many x factors in the upcoming election. ie: diebold machines or if they drop a whole bunch of democratic voters off the voter rolls again. |

The democratic hope in the USA was lost with Bill Clinton imho..
Al Gore may have had some great initatives, but he lacked the caristhma and personality... Mr. Dean may be a crowd favorite, but his ideals are far too extreme to win over the American public. All other candidates are looking decent, but they're pretty much political unknowns. The democrats have to really bust ass to have a chance at all in the upcoming election. |

Howard Dean could always move on to pro wrestling.
"WE TOOK IOWA, NEXT WE'RE GONNA MARCH ON VIRGINIA, THEN ON TO NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND THEN WE'RE GONNA TAKE IT RIGHT TO THE NATIONS CAPITOL, WOOOOOOOOOOOHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" Lieberman just wouldn't admit defeat in New Hampshire. "YEAH, WE'RE IN A THREE WAY TIE FOR THIRD PLACE!!!" Al Sharpton just doesn't have a hope in hell, there is no way a man with a perm will step foot in the White House. |

My understanding of the American electorate is that they actually have very low voter turn out. Perhaps the Democrats need more of an extreme message instead of this republican lite that seems to be popular with them. A lot of people might go and vote if they heard something out of the usual.
