Parents trying to be "hip"
You know how people sometimes call ugly girls with hot bodies "buttah" face? You know, as in, everything's hot but her (buttah) face?
Well, this past weekend, my dad looked a girl and went, "That girl has a margarine face!" We all went, "What did you just say?" and he replied with, "That girl has a margarine face!" "Ummm, do you mean 'buttah' face?" "Same thing!" LOL :p |

my mom sometimes does that... like she'll try and use random tid bits of new age slang.
I find it terribly amusing. She'll say something like, "Stamata, you think i'm hip right?" It's hilarious when adults use the word "hip," because its not even used anymore. |

my dad liked to be very involved when me and my brothers were teenagers.
when we had people over to jam, he would pick up a guitar and join in. he used to go to raves when my bro first started going in '94 and make sure everyone was ok. and he smokes pot with us all the time. he also did shrooms with my brother when they were in Amsterdam. and my mom loves break beats and house music. Overall, i think my parents are pretty "with it" :c-tard: |

U guys are SO lucky man! I wish my parents were at least a bit more "hip". They r terribly boring! All tha time. And whenever I go party it means that I am "throwing my life away and that I'm gonna end up in being nothing". C'mon! Thats so lame, thinking of the fact that I've been partying since I was 15 and now I am 21 and going to university. And I still hear the same shit!
Ok, off topic there. But I could never even imagine raving with my parents (wouldn't want to anyways) or even just plain gettin drunk with em and going out and stuff. NEVER! |

they're not drug heads. my mom hates drugs my dad just happens to like pot. and hell, he was in AMSTERDAM when he did mushrooms. who wouldn;t do mush in Amsterdam? but they were strict in a lot of ways too. i didn;t have freedom in a lot of ways. they are still very much parents and lay down the law when needs be. My parents rule because they understand their kids. they are open and honest with us, and in turn we can be open and honest with them. i wouldn;t trade that for ANYTHING. |
