skewed perception of people online

Is it just me or does everyone automaticaly picture a person who is online for a good chunk of the day is a geek

or is that just me

my computer screen and TV are one and the same.. and my turntables are on a table about 3 inch's from my keyboard.. my guitar about a foot behind me, so only time i move from here is to grab food and water... so its hard not to be online.. i just leave msn and everything on all the time.. so much trouble to power down and power up..

I think it depends on the person and what said person does while online
...
someone who sits around on ClubVibes for 5 hours posting about "like, I like rap and stuff, like, a lot, and stuff, because, like, Jay-Z is like, sooo hot... and 50 Cent is like, so real... he's total gangster, tee-hee" is definately a big fat geek... with bad taste...

but someone who hangs out online and makes interesting new friends and has somewhat intillectually stimulating conversation with these new friends is at least a little bit less geeky

and then there's people like me who are just uber cool and lord their coolness over Yahoo Chat's "Electronica:1" room
