My friend goes to Blanche MacDonald, I know she likes it there but not exactly sure what she's taking and stuff like that. Will ask and post later when I have a chance. :toasted:

i want to be a make up artist but i need to know what i need to take the classes there

My aunt went there she took a makeup artistry course, hair and specail effects which kinda goes with makeup. she had a lot of fun and is doing awsome now, she has a really good portfolio from her work there! i think she is getting a job at mac too......not too sure about that one, oh ya and my cousin took the same courses and she does makeup for local movies or commercials and shit!

My sister went to Blanche Macdonald and took some coarses and finished too, i had to be her test subject twice. She did makeup for movies and something like that

I highly doubt if Spunsugar bats an eyelash in the direction of this board, but you'll prolly be able to get ahold of her on CV. She went there and could tell you about it.

Its an awesome school. I work with/have worked with lots of people in my industry who did there training there, and i've heard nothing but good things.
The only thing i would suggest, is not to do the make-up program, unless it is something you really want to do career-wise. While the course is excellent, to be a succesful make-up artist and make a half decent wage, you need lots of passion and determination to make it. It's pretty easy to get a retail makeup job, but that only pays like $12- $15 bucks an hour. To get on movies on stuff and earn a GOOD living, you have to do free gigs and be able to market yourself.
i dont know anyone whos done the fashion merchandising course there, but ive worked with stylists on music videos before who get there fashion assistants only from Blance so it must mean it's good!

I took the make-up artistry program there and I just loved it. I would definately suggest it if you are interested in doing that.
