"The Vancouver Millionaires franchise was arguably the most successful in the PCHA, doing well both at the box office and on the ice. They played 15 seasons from 1911-26 and won the Stanley Cup in 1915"

Ever try to stand in front of a train even if the engine's cut out of it and it's going 60mph?
The force that's splattered your brain onto it is called "Momentum". All those people were the entourage that let Gretzky realize his full potential. Like it or not, that victory was most definately in the wake of Gretzky. |

His wake? He wasn't on the ice! So your gretzky theory is bullshit.
What the hell does that have to do with anything? Those victorys came without any of gretzkys goals or assists. Momentum? You play way too many NHL video games. "Momentum" doesnt produce a stanley cup (look at the canucks last year) |

The reason the Canucks choked last year was directly because of momentum. A couple of bogus calls completely tripping them up and they couldn't get it back together. If that series was less about morale and more about actual skill the canucks would have been all over that cup.
Like I said, the team that was built up around Gretzky won that cup. Edmonton would not have won it if it weren't for Wayne. |
