Rogers Promotion Owned Fido

Promotion ends today at my sisters work and this promotion was a 3 days promotion. It received an avg of 300 people+ lining up inside metrotown. Fido offers it $40 unlimited talk and rogers countered with Unlimited talk for the first year with a minimum of a $20/month plan ,apon activation. Not too shabby id say so half the price of fidos plan but obviously the difference is 1 has contract and 1 doesnt. Who thinks its worth it?

Rogers is pretty excellent for making its consumer base bend over. Not to mention who the fuck goes to a video store to buy a cell phone? *sigh*

In my second-hand experience, Fido has been the nicest to its user base and has the best service I've seen. The only thing Fido lacks is decent enough coverage.

the poor reception is a huge deal imo. it's the biggest deal. what good is a phone that can't be used consistently. not very convient if you ask me.

if you rarely leave the lower mainland there is ZERO wrong with Fido's service... i've had Fido and Telus and i personally found that i got better reception with Fido!... that could be due to the phones i had i'm not exactly sure... but still Fido's reception is not as bad as people seem to think it is..(unless you leave the lower mainland).....

with the Rogers thing you had to sign up on a contract and only your first year was free.... how long of a contract did you have to sign up for?... cause there's no way you could only do it for your one year unlimited and then drop the plan... you probably had to spend another two years on some kinda shitty plan

I've had a Telus phone... a Roger's phone... and a Fido phone.

I hate Telus... the only really good thing about them is their coverage. Other then that though they can kiss my fucking ass. They're sneaky... expensive... and their customer service department, athough nice, LOVE bashing all the other phone companies and they try to trick you into staying with them instead.

Roger's was a piece of fucking SHIT! The reception was ass at my old apartment (East 7th & Broadway). I missed countless calls and the shit would always cut out n since I don't have a land line it kinda pissed me off.

I loves ma Fido phone!! Sure it's a lil ugly but I have no service problems... the staff is great... the one time $50 service fee (instead of $7 every month on Telus/Rogers that they sneak increase it every now n then)... pretty much unlimited daytime calling (ok fine there's a cap on daytime calling but I think it's something retarded like 10,000 minutes) and the phone itself can be used all over the world (unlike Telus's). All this for about $40-50 instead of the upwards of $400 I was paying with Telus... hells fucking ya I love my Fido phone!

I agree with Dave... why go to your movie store to buy a phone??

I was never impressed with Fido back when i had it cause their customer service pissed me off everytime and i wasnt hapy wiht reception. Of course now they have some new dude who took over their company or atlesat bought hella shares has upgraded their systems and added more towers or whatever so i hear their reception is pretty darn good now. Also i heard fido is doing contract soon.

got the fido unlimited plan, ts bin 2 months since I signed up, it's fuckin brillant. Love my sony ericsson phone that I bought for 25 bucks :c-tard: The customer service is outstanding, never had to wait longer than 1 minute to be helped out. As for the reception as long as ur within the area of the reception ur fine...

Rogers reception licks ass once your indoors or in a basement... the way I see it Telus has the best reception over all but their prices are ridiculous. Fido and Rogers have nicer phones though

the rogers promo had 2 choices of free phones... that's the only drawback for it...
but the plan was wicked.. i actually thought about it.

I've had Fido for almost 4 years and never once has my service not worked ANYWHERE in the lower mainland.

My store is located under huge layers of concrete (due to the roof-top parking) and Fido is the only company that has service.

I'd never leave Fido, the only complaint I've ever had with them was about their customer service when I had to order a new phone but it wasn't really a big deal, it had to do with shipping times.
