The Gift Of Karma
Just wanted to hear some feedback on the Karma system.
It's been roughly a month since we installed it and I was just wondering what you guys thought about it... If you read a post that moves you in any shape, way or form don't be shy to use it... ~fORM

meh.. i don't pay to much attention to it.. and when u get karma.. haha it's funny.. half the time ppl don't leave comments tho? like if u dun like it.. o ru like it why not say why or something? don't have to give away who u are but y'know? meh but i guess that's more of a personal thing.. one thing i'm curious bout tho.. is how i got good karma from new years eve 1969 yo!!! hahaha that was pretty funky tho.. but really, i don't notice it.. it's there but it's not that important y'know? and alotta ppl have it blocked out as well..

I don't like it.
I'm not a frequent user of the board though, so I don't know how much credit I'll get for voicing my opinion about it. but the karma system, in my opinion, is something that's just BEGGING to be abused. If you read something that you really like, why not just reply to the person and tell them that? You know, like the way people usually do it on message boards? I don't see why this place needs another doohicky at all, especially one like karma, that's so open for abuse. this place has enough fun little gadgets in it as it is.

i think it creates tension between a lot of members...
i'm sure there's a lot of us that get pretty aggrivated when someone gives them bad karma for a post that all they said was "i'm hungry" or something like that... i know that some people get targetted, and wherever they have a post, someone that doesn't like them will give them bad karma, simply because they posted... [oh look, what's his face posted, i hate that guy, bad karma for youu! oh, i can't give him bad karma until i give karma to other people first? okie! bad karma for everyone in this thread! weeeee] too much personal vendetta's involved...

Hahahaha I love it... getting a thing like 'negative comments are not appreciated' in a thread where I obviously responded with my opinion. I want my Karma to drop like a stone, maybe I should personally insult every member of this board so I can have the most bad karma on the site. But then again a lot of people will probably agree with me for some of them so it might all balance out... damn...

eaiser karma, or harder karma? here are the choices I have! Register Date Factor For every X number of days, users gain 1 point of karmic power. Post Count Factor For every X number of posts, users gain 1 point of karmic power. Karma Point Factor For every X points of karma, users gain 1 point of karmic power. Minimum Post Count How many posts must a user have before his karma hits count on others? Minimum Karma Count How much karma must a user have before his karma hits count on others? Max Hits per Day How many karmic clicks can a user give per day? How Many Before Repeating How many different users must you karma before you can hit the same person again? Give me a freaking bone here people!

real Karma is if you do somthin good sooner or later it'll come back to you in som1e way shape or form. this karma is "i hate you - bad karma" hey "she's hot - good karma" lol I dont like you BAD KARMA!! it dont matter what you post really i wish there was some way to STEAL karma lol

i think its cool when u look in ur user cp thing and u see what someone had to say about a certain comment......
sometimes ill get bad karma from a certain post in a thread and theyll leave a message stating some bullshit....but u can tell they dished out the karma before they read the entire thread cuz the rest of the thread sometiems explains what they say in their comments or the questions they ask.... i don't know...i get stupid karma.....well not really....some i made honest posts and people gave me recognition for something i had said...but alot of the time theyre silly things..... and i don't get the whole colour thing....i know green is good obviously....but my thing is this...is red really bad karma..if so is grey not so bad but still bad karma....and how come ive been given karma and ive had three diff types....green, red/brown, and grey....wanna explain to me the whole dilly on karma...cuz i don't get how im getting three types of karma but when i go to give karma all i can do is say do i agree or dissagree or something stupid........ im obviously missing something here...fill a brother in..... and what the fuck is karmic power yo... corrie

haha this karma thing is not a big deal but gettin negative comments about u're own opinion is sorta rude i guess? i don't know how to put it. i got a neg karma in my post about what are your goals for next year?... sumone called me no life on tat post. wutevaz, don't find this karma thing a big deal or take ne comments as an offence, but hopin ma lil gem thing will turn green again! hahaha.
