Remember when Belinda of the Canadian conservative party (probably the most powerful woman in canada besides the Governer General) was deemed a "dumb blonde" by the national enquirer? That's my opinion. Crazy Cat Lady has spoken.

true, women do get more media coverage when it comes to crime, but it doesnt necessarily lead to the fact that the world is male driven. newspapers and newstations are businesses, and just like other businesses their goal is to make a profit. most news-worthy stories are going to be those that are out-of-the-norm because this is what creates excitement with viewers. perhaps the reason why women get more media coverage is because female crimes are out of the norm and do not occur as frequently as male crimes. also, the fact that martha stewart is a celebrity adds to why there's so much media coverage.
and still, i dont see how martha being sent to jail has anything to do with living in a male driven world. if you're mad over how she got so much media coverage... well, it would have been the same amount of coverage as with any other celebrity, male or female
