Sykonee: It's not simple when I've been using the Ottawa system for all this time... there's no "Zones" there. You just get on the bus and go.

Ah, yes. The Zone thing. Well, since I do most of my busing when Zones don't count (late nights, weekends), I hardly pay attention to that, and quite often there's ways to get around them (Zone boundaries are great places to switch transfer stubs with others).

In a nutshell, transfering zones just means you pay a dollar extra to get to where you're going.

I know... It's so much better here. I don't have to wake up @ 5 AM to shovel snow... then go back out again @ 6 because the plow went by.

Plus, Vancouver is MUCH more alive then Ottawa ever was.

walking over the zone boundaries wouldn't change anything since you'd still have a transfer from the zone before...like that other person said, you have to whore yourself and switch transfers with someone.

If you're gonna take the bus a lot, then just get a bus pass I'd say. They're expensive, but worth it if you use it a lot.

Everything is a Regular Route bus. (Except Route #s 20-70 I think it was) Those were Express Routes (more expensive), they ownly ran durring peak hours, and went to/from all the sub-urbs.

Then there was Rural Express. That was even more expensive and was a way to mock people who lived in butt-fuck noware.
