Farra N Hyte re: my finished documentary series on drag queens...
Farra N Hyte is a beautiful women and is loved by many. For you to degrade her and say that she is fuckin gigantic is rude and ignorant. The photos you have taken and developed of her were for an educational project and were not to be posted on the internet. You have gone against your word and I think an apology should be given to Farra. She is one of the most amazing women I have ever known and the fact that she let you into her world and you took advantage of that is disgusting. I think you should remove the photos from this site and yourself from the lifestyle you obviously don't understand. Farra N Hyte I love you

I think farra n hyte is the most talented drag queen in toronto and probably the country. It IS and always will be an educational social documentary on a sublife that many people aren't aquainted with. I never intended to insult her..my intention was to bring her lifestyle into the spotlight for others to experience it. I don't see how i've taken advantage of her at all. i believe i used the term "fucking gigantic" to describe her sheer size in height. I apologize because I do realize how negative that does sound but the photograph did not do justice on illustrating how tall she actually is. I used three photographs of her in my documentary...one of which (the photo of her with a blurred face and blurred upper torso) has been described as the best photograph in the series. why? because I think farra n hyte is an entertainer at heart and she's a true master at what she does. I apologize if you have taken offense to my documentary, but I assure you, it was intended to do the exact OPPOSITE.

Well Sammy I thank you for your clarification, I don't ever won't to insult your artistic impression however I don't feel your choice of words were necessarily the best ones. I do agree that she the most talented Queen in Toronto and the country. All the photos of her are beautiful. There is not one single photo where she looks like a man, regardless of how you take the picture you will never see a man unlike those of Julia Jefferies. My problem with your posting is that it was for school not for the world to see, it may still be of educational value but I don't believe it was agreed that it would be posted on the web. Farra N Hyte your fabulous. all my Love forever and always.

I appreciate his artistic talent as well, my case and point is that he did not have the permission of Farra N Hyte to post the pictures on the web. If those were his intentions he should have atleast informed her. I think it's great the way he captured her beauty but he had permission to hand the photos in to his professor/department and nothing more

hey sammy do think trannylover might be farra n hyte???? i think it might be trannylover just registerd today, the name is tranny lover, location toronto, and who else but you and the person ur taking photos of would know the agreement was to only show the pics in ur class.Plus trannylover is really pumping up how great this farra n hyte is. ur thoughts??

Sammy I apprepicate you changing your wording on this site, however I think that it is best for all if you remove these photos, since this was not discussed in your agreement, you were also expected to provide copies of these photos to Ms.Robin Loren, Julia Jefferies, and Farra N Hyte. You have failed to follow through on your original agreement. Photos like these should not be posted without permission because you never know who is going to view these sites. As a friend and fellow fan of the fabulous Farra N hyte I know what the agreement was and when she located the site it upset greatly. I understand that your whole photo project is for artistic educational purposes however you stated that the project would only be view by your professor. As well I still find your wording on this site to be offensive if you understood our way living you would be more careful. I would ask that these photos be removed.
P.s I am not Farra n Hyte

hey its me I have been following this site and its responses and I can honestly say that that I am disgusted by your lack of respect for me and what I do. When you asked to take the pictures it was just to be a photo prioject for you and your professor, we would receive copies upon completion and NO ONE else was to see the photos, since taking the photos I have never seen you again at the club which is probably a good thing considering where the photos are now. I have completly lost respect for you and your work and the integrity for which you stand. If photo journalism and photo documentary is your goal in life you have a lot to learn. Treat people with the respect that you want to be treated with or get the fuck out.

the shots vanessa and I took of robin loren were not used and did not turn out. we DID drop off an envelope with photos for you and julia jefferies at crews and tango. I know for a fact that julia jefferies has recived it. I'm not clear as to why your envelope with 3 prints wasnt passed off to you. i posted the photographs not with the intention of exploiting you or any other of the women i photographed. I'm extremely sorry that you find my work offensive. that was deffintly NOT my intention. in retrospect I see that my wording in reference to describing your height could be taken as being rude. I changed it right away because the last thing I want to do is offend you. You went out of your way to help vanessa and I out with our project and we're still and always will be VERY thankful. I have so much respect for you as a person and an entertainer. I don't except the same in return from you.
I don't see why you would be disgusted by responses from this project. I've only received postive responses...many from people who haven't had the oppritunity to experience the life style. you've made your "disgust" for my documentary very apparent and i respect your opinions. I also respect the fact that you want the photos taken down. And I will take them down. I just want to point out that the agreement that vanessa and I made was not to sell prints or make money off of them. again, it was never my intention to offend. in actuallity, i really wanted to glamourize the scene and bring forth understanding to people who might have had prior misconceptions about the scene. -s.

I would like to address the fact that within sharing his wonderful work with our site, Sammy enlightened many people to a side of drag they probably never knew. When I first think drag (as most) im sort of uncertain the mindset someone would be to dress as such; Really dedicating my eyes to the photos I began to think outside of my mainstream black and white thoughts, attempting to see more then just a man dressing as a woman.
I know the reactions from most of the posted comments where just missunderstood. You have to understand being a public website there are many different levels of users; Ranging from smart/mature to even the very lowest of dumb. Sammy did a wonderful job of capturing Farra in more then just drag. He caught a glimpse of the transformation between man to woman. I fully enjoyed the photos, wishing only to have saved them as they were some of his best works I have seen to date. Myles H. administrator

i dont mean to be butting in, and maybe i am young and neive, but sammy's work was absolutely beautiful. not only did i enjoy looking at it as an artist but also as someone who knows nothing about the scene, to see the glamour and sheer beauty... farra n hyte is absolutely gorgeous. the protrayal of the photos\project being offensive, this i dont understand, granted it is not me who is up there but i cant imagine being personally offended by photographs which are so beautiful and graceful of myself.
again i apologize for butting in, and i feel extremely lucky to have seen these photos, i would not know where else to begin to see the lifestyle and or scene in such a wonderful way.

Sammy I want to thank you for removing the photos from your site, when I told Farra last night she was delighted. Once again I would like to point out that I think you have great artistic impression and that this was not a jab at your capabilities as a photographer. ...... as for Myles I would like to note that one must be extremely careful when exploring this life style, talking about shots where some one feels Farra looks like a man, or the transformation of her can be extremely sensitive and that is why I spoke negatively in my comments. For Farra and women alike there is no man visible to them, they live their lives as a women for they feel they are, and to point out masculinity publicly is could be and often is offensive.

whats idiotic about it? here it is, if guys want to dress up as chicks cause it makes them feel good or whatever thats fine i can actually see how really its not that big of a deal but fact that some of these people cant bare that fact that they are a MAN is disturbing, and basically inforces my view that alot of these people are rather fucked.
and for the record the first are in that para is supposed to be and arent.
