help!!i dont want my rents to see my "special" pics

well, i took some pics with my gf this week, and want to send them to her.
here in lies the problem. whenever i dl them to my comp via the cable link with my cam, all the photo prgrams on my comp, like picasa, find them and include them in the program. this is bad.

how can i exclude them so they arnt found...is there a way?

please help.

When you plug your camera into your computer, the comp should recognize it as a seperate drive. Plug it in, but don't copy anything over. Then open 'my computer' and choose it from your list of 'devices with removable storage'

You should be able to get at pictures individually that way - at least I can.

ya, but i wouldnt mind having them on my XP user account. is it possible keep files seperated, or will the scan just always scan everything?

the photo programs such as adobe and picasa scan my comp when they are started, and find all the pictures. this is where the problm comes in...if i could just block the folder or something it would be dope, but i cant figure how to.

Huh, they dont do that on my computer.

My suggestion in that case is to copy them onto your computer, burn 'em onto a disc, then delete them from the computer.

Heres a suggestion, as the name for the naughty pictures put something like english essay on the biography of mother theresa! haha they wont suspect a thing.

Also remember to delete the pictures from the recycling bin! thats important, any file that is deleted goes to the recycling bin and can be reopened from there. so make sure you clear that out!!

^ except when they see it's a photo, and not a word document or anything. the photos will be included in the program regardless of name [and they most likely give a small preview] so the name doesn't mean much.

or u can scan then.. send them... then completly delete them off the comp....

Go into each image file program on the computer and click off the file associations. Then after you're done your dirty work, click them back on.

Here's what you do.

1. Copy the files to the HDD using the camera wizard, or whatever.

2. Delete the pictures off the camera

3. Zip the *.jpg files up, then rename the .zip file to something like, winzip.txt and put it in c:\windows - so whenever you want to see them, just rename winzip.txt to pics.zip or whatever, then open it up. Voila. ;)

4. Then remove the 'Recent' documents from the start menu.

Also, when you zip them, you can password protect the zip file, so no one can open it.
