Whistler sucks unless they get a dump of snow... too many skiers too.

FREESTYLE SKIING
I'm a skiier and have been my whole life tried boarding a couple times but skiing is where it's at....but the best guys to ride with are boarders....I love the parks and glazed runs through powder..too bad I snapped my 1080's

i like going thru snowboard parks on my ski's... boarders get SOOOO fucking pissed... but they usually leave me alone after i try to do something cool... (usually end up bailing, but it looked cool for a second, heh...) that's how u get respect man... BAIL HARD!

But when you wait your turn for a black diamond jump you see the boarders go too the side and take the wimpy way out and some that go for it and crash, then its your turn and you just go straight through making unbelivable air time. the snowboarders dont get pissed, i've done a straight through once and didnt pull any tricks off (cuz i cant) and the boarders have actually applauded and screamed. my legs hurt after that one, the landing was really hard. - SoniK

There was this one entrance jump at the entrance of the snowboard park on the Eagle chair side. I was with 3 friends and they each went, just barely making it over the top.
So I think no problem, straight line it, hit the lip and I go flying over the landing point, over them and onto the flats. I did the same thing off a black diamond jump in the Blakcomb terrain park. I almost shit my pants when I flew like a bird (landed it though..) and my friends that I was crazy to take the jump so fast. Seemed like normal speed to me. I decided to stay on technical runs myself as well. I just go WAY to fast to hit jumps, I end up landing too far past the landing ramp and it FOOKING HURTS! I find natural booters/jumps much easier to take air off of and land than man made ones.

You don't even WANT to know my horror stories, keep this one simple and brief, (ya wanna know details, ask me the story in person) TRY being stuck in a crevice, only thing keeping you from falling to your death is your board, which on each sides is wedged into the sides of the crevice.....being stuck there, and your board is slowly losing it's wedged-ness, you're slowly falling, waiting for nearly 2 hours whilst your friends go get help cuz you're stuck in a crevice in the back country of Whistler! BEAT THAT! :041:

Booya, me and like 6 of my friends got Season's passes for Whistler/Blackcomb this year. They were doing a special promotion for full time students where you could get a Season's pass for $300, as opposed to the normal $1400. A friend of ours is living up there as well and she said we can stay with her whenever... woooo!!! can't wait!
