Playoff Action

Fuck, I love the playoffs.

Great things about the playoffs:
-Canucks are looking pretty sharp, have a real chance to go deep this year.
-Hockey every second night (I love how CBC shows all of the games. Nice to know that the government still provides SOME essential services. And who says we don't have state sponsored religion in Canada?)
-Getting drunk every second night (Beer is to playoffs as ... air is to lungs?)
-The civic unity (There's something really cool about how this city comes together around the team - bandwagon or not. Nothing like seeing those hand-made signs start to go up in shop windows, the busses showing 'go canucks go,' all the jerseys, flags, and honking cars that come out on game day)

Fuck, I love the playoffs.

Nothing like the energy that the playoffs creates around the city. Going to the pubs, watching the game with all the other inebriated fans, its is like a tradition. :sixpak:

actually decypher, i have seen flags on cars even from last year stay up! those are the real hardcore canucks fans. I think this year we have a chance to go to the finals again. But the last time we got the division title was in '92-'93? And we did not get that far in the playoffs tho :(

yea but defensivly were a better team than in 92-93. In 94 we basicalluy shouldn'ty have gotten as far as we did. It was kinda like carolina making it all the way to the finals only to get blown away.

the last few years we have been gaining experience and we have way better players than we did in 94. Minus bure, and courtnall maybe and kirk mclean.

this year we have naslund, ohlund, morrison, rucinsky, sanderson, jovanoski, cloutier, sopel god the depth of this team is really something domn'ty y a think
