nissan has their own tuner...called nsimo, most nismo parts wont void your apparrently and alot of the stuff they sell is just rebadged parts like an aem cold air intake with a nismo sticker on it is what they offer for cai

about the warenty issuse, im nto to concerned, they have to prove the part i have caused the problem, and thats pretty difficult since im not drastically altering the performance of the car, im simply using non oem replacement parts. heh...nanyway i dont think my car is gonna break any time soon.

check these forums out for the information you need
www.b15sentra.net<---the biggest of the sites but i fuckin hate it because theres alot of anal retentive assclowns on that board
www.thevboard.com<--- this one's my fave, good people who are helpfull and theres alot of information on the site, this forum is the same size as fnk in membership and number of new posts.
theres others i have bookmarked ill probably post later
www.nissanperformancemagazine.com has two spec v project cars

Did I miss something? Does strapping a picnic table to the back of a car make it go faster?

Or is it for esthetics? Because it's pretty ugly if you ask me.

It can't be for downforce, that car will never go fast enough to notice a real difference.

Forget that... the Jet bike is the way to go. Jay Leno has one, you can too for the mere price of $180,000 USD. 23,000RPM idle, 52,000 redline. Basically a helicopter jet engine between your legs. :c-tard:

Pratt and Whitney PT6 I believe.... I was talking to an AME about it and a PT6 like used in the Jet Ranger would fit in my Mustang.... MUAH HA HAAA if only I had the $450,000 to buy a Turbine Engine. :soak:

the only real thing you have to worry about with a CAI is hydrolocking, and theres really nothing to worry about with headers. and as for a dealer installing it, i doubt it'll keep the warrenty on performance parts unless its bought through them.. ie: nizmo. not to mention they'll charge you and arm and leg to install something you can do in your driveway with basic tools.

as for synthetic oil, i use synthetic whenever i change my oil. it doesn't break down like conventional oil, which means you don't have to change your oil as often. whether it worth it or not? i'd say yes, but if you can't afford the drastic price difference just use normal oil and change it more often.

I use all Synthetic Fluids... I'm going to be changing out my Transmission Fluid for some B&M or TCI Synthetic Transmission Fluid. If you're real picky with HP (You EFI boys have to take the cheap power as you can...) you can net about 8HP from using all Synthetics. Don't get me started on the Picnic Tables on FWD cars...

i dont know anyhting about synthetic versus dino oil...just go with what vince said.

when you decide to install that CAI give me a ring and ill help you out with it....you need to do some grinding for the fender but its all good cuz i have a pretty dope angle grinder that i used, a dremel wont cut it.

I totally agree... Would you rather drive somethin with a nice big 5.0 or 5.7L or a civic with 1.6 or whatever it is? The answer to me is clear... constant trips to the gas station :) I'm used to it
