letter in Calgary Herald newspaper

Judging by the apparent lack of enthusiasm for the Stanley Cup playoffs on the streets of Vancouver, where people seem more interested in pruning their ...cherry trees and noshing at trendy street cafes, it only seems fair that the Canucks simply concede their series against the Flames. If only life were like that. Likely, the series will go its nerve-racking, seven-game limit, which will be the best thing for Calgary and the Flames.
In the eight-year drought since the team was last in the playoffs, many Calgarians have forgotten -- and some younger ones have never known -- just how fun the playoffs can be. Each game is worth an estimated $500,000 in revenue to the club and thousands each night to bar owners. It is an excuse for a party, something at which Calgarians are very good.
So while Vancouverites sip lattes and count tulips, let's go in there and steal this thing before they wake up. Go, Flames, go.
:hehe:
So what do you guys say. Tonight.. tulips or game?
