Reffing in the NHL

I can't stand the state of the reffing as it currently is.

The reffing in the NHL effeects the outcomes of the ame entirely too much. IMO good reffing is when you don't notice theya re there. It seems like the reffs these days are favouring the team who is down to make the games closer. (ie making marginal calls against the leading team) This has to stop. I guess this could be the result of going to a 2 reff system, but damn its annoying when the reffs actions clearly affect the flow and result of the game. Anyone agree?

^ yep too many amateur refs are one reason i think the NHL's reffing is so bad. Think about it 2 refs a game, instead of 1 for however many games.

the other reason i can see is they like to run the pl ay too mu ch

I'd rather have two inexperienced refs than one Kerry Frasier

haha yea true but some games are horrible because one ref will call everything the other ref doesn't.

An example was the canucks game against edmonton last year, where i think one ref called 8 out of the 9 penalites.

It was some sad refing but the canucks still won, but that was some very one sided calls
