Fred's & Babalu no longer "Pics"

The other night after the club we decided to go and get something to eat. I noticed some heavy firetrucks on Granville. It turns out there was a grease fire in the kitchen below Babalu's and they had to evacuate the building. Much of the place is burned, wet or falling apart. It was an older buliding so they might have to tear it down.

There were like 100 firemen there, weren't there? Apparently, they got everyone out in here, but the building is pretty much *toast*

I read that the entire building was in the finishing stages of renovations billed at $4 million that has been going on for the past 5 years :(
