YAO VS SHAQ in the playoffs!
who else wants to thank kobe bryant tonight?!
he hit a buzzer-beating 3 pt shot to win the game vs the blazers, thus clinching the division title! which means that its gonna be lakers vs rockets in the playoffs! this is great for basketball! during the regular season, the media was hyping up the games between yao and shaq. now it's yao's first playoff appearance, and it's against shaq! the hype is gonna be insane! ok... am i the only one that cares more about basketball than the canucks?? back to studying now...... |

im with u ken. i watched alot of the games where yao went up against shaw and yao has been victorious on more then 1 occasion. i've never seen somebody back in shack before and im impressed. but come playoffs i think shaq will show him a thing or 2 but yao will take this as experiance and he will be much better in the future.

I say Shaq is the better one though. yao needs to work more on his shooting like shaq did many years ago, when he couldn't score a freethrow 10 times out of 10. Haha him and his one hand miracle shot lol.
this should be interesting to see though. gives me more options than just hockey. Fuck i love sports |

shaq can obviously over power yao, but if he's on his game hittin jumpers all day and keeping shaq out of the middle then the rockets have a great chance to steal this series.
however when kobe's hot he's fuckin insane. i just hope my boy franchise is up to the task. |

"yao won the battle, but shaq will win the war." couldnt have said it better myself. I also think that, not only will the Lakers against the Rockets, they can win the whole thing, but only if they can stay healthy and get back to the way they were playing at the beginning of the season when they were like 16-1! As for this series... franchise has been sucking the whole season, plus him and Cat are still hurt right now. Rockets may win a few games, but that's it. hey kenji: Yao has to work on his shooting?! I disagree. Yao has been pretty consistent with his J, and his FT shooting has been very good too. His FG% is over 50%, and his FT is around 80%, which is definitely above average in this league. With that being said, I propose that in 2-3 years, Yao will definitely be the most dominant center in the NBA. It's very probable that he can increase his upper body strength within 2-3 years... which would make him almost impossible to guard! His lower body strength is already very good, according to reports that say his legs are like tree trunks. Can you imagine? Right now he can shoot over anybody cuz of his height. Once he gets stronger... he could back down almost anybody. Then who the heck is gonna want to foul him? He's already money from the line. Just wait and see fellas. I predict that Yao will make first-team all NBA within 2-3 years. |

i love the nba! so many things to look out for... especially during the playoffs.
like... who woulda thought the bucks or heat could make the playoffs?! same goes with melo! too bad no lebron this yr... who the fuck wants to see the celtics lose all their games anyway? anyways... e-boy, u seem to know ur ball quite well. Yea i agree... Wolves will dispatch of the nuggets for sure, but as for the second round against either mavs or kings... definitely questionable, although i think the wolves are still better than both of them. Their chemistry is startin to click, unlike the kings (ever since webber came back). As for the mavs, they are going nowhere because they're D is sub-par, and frankly, I think steve nash, nowitzki, and the rest of em are overrated, including antoine walker. I especially hate nowitzki, cuz he just loves to bitch and whine about pussy non-calls. dont get me wrong, they're good players... just not at the same level as Garnett, Duncan, Shaq, or Kobe. I think Wolves can go as far as conference finals... they would have a chance against the Spurs, but not the Lakers. |

ok... like the rest of us, i was too busy watchin game 6!
but from what i saw in this game 1... that was just some of the ugliest bball ever! really sloppy at times, and TOs galore. ok... lets hope game 2 will be better. actually... game 2 is irrelevant! its game 7 for nucks/flames thats relevant! haha |

lakers didnt dominate the rockets in that first game so far.
72-71 close game not most impressive of ball. Shaw only had 1 field goal in the 2nd half and it was the game winning dunk. go figure. yao didnt do much with 10 points 11 ourds but hey thats still a double double lol. Minny is gonna pwn the shit out of nuggets today |
