like wtf? just cuz you can't share the same spiritual beliefs as your mom, doesn't mean you can't have love for each other.

love your mom. cuz you wouldn't be shit without her.

but its not like that bro. I have decided not to want anything to do with the religion, and unfortunately for the majority of my family that means they will cut off association with me, period....because I dont follow the same beliefs as they do anymore. Its got nothing to do with not loving her, because i do. I am very much a family guy. And it sucks to know that pretty soon they will no longer wish to speak with me....they will feel like failures as parents, which theyre not. i just took a different path. And they always told me i need to do it for myself, yet they contradict that message, when they say if anything do it for us....i dont expect most to understand...

I've just had the WIERDEST morning and it has left me extremely frazzled. To start things off I am extremely hungover. I met a homeowner regarding the painting estimate that I did for him a month ago. It's a large job, like $4000 large, and he's been taking forever to make a decision on it. He had 3 other quotes done, but this morning I sold him on mine which makes me very happy. But I'm still getting my ass kicked by the vodka flu.

So I came home from that ready for a joint and a nap, maybe some bacon and eggs. I come up to my front door to find a big green notice hanging on my mailbox saying "YOUR GAS HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED". Fuck. Turns out my dumb ass didn't realize that changing houses means starting a new account, which means setting up a new bill payment deal in my online banking. So the last two months' gas and hydro bills have been paid to non-existant accounts. No letter saying I have an outsanding balance or warning about disconnection or anything. Fuck. I got it all dealt with, talked to supervisors, got the $380 security deposit they wanted to charge me waved and now someone is coming to hook my shit back up.

ANYWAYS, I called my mom during this whole thing to vent and she managed to talk me back down to sane Dave and gave me the whole "it's going to be ok" thing. She is really good at that. Whenever I need to get grounded I know she's just a phone call away. And I know she's going to be calling me in a few hours to make sure everything worked out okay.

Moms really do kick ass.
MY MOM IS BETTER THAN YOUR MOM!
