oil isn't the only thing that can cause pimples. there is in an ingredient in a lot of drugstore shampoos/conditioners that can clog your pores [usually on your back, from when you rinse] and cause that. usually the effects from that are only mild though. anything else, probably isn't the shampoo, or it's a combination of things. even washing your body AFTER you shampoo/condition, rather than before can help if you don't change your products. :)

Well he could try showering after he sweats washing clothing more often sheets aswell and try a different kind of detergent preferably without any fregrance as that can be irritating. Sometimes people are just prone to break outs tho.

buy one of those body washes for acne prone skin like clean and clear and then put it in a differnt bottle and sneak it into his shower
