Meteor shower Tomorrow night

with the great weather we had today it should be quite the show. Unfortunately it will peak at some time around 2AM and dawn, could be eastern time though.. I am not to sure

If its between 2am and Dawn Thursday....then that's tonight. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I understand from that website link u put up. I think I was at Steveston, the park right by the oean last year...we didn't even know there is going to be a meteor shower. There was hundred's of ppl already at the park...we were looking for a quiet place to drink and chill and we see all these bonfires and ppl...turned out to be a good night though...

No prob man...just noticed that it said thursday morning...I'm like it will be thursday morning in a couple hours...neways...yah I wish it would be on the weekend...I kinda wanna wake early to get stuff done in the morning...maybe I'll peek outside for a bit around 2am...see if I catch anything

I've seen a few Shooting Stars lately... Meteor Showers kick ass. I've seen some huge ones out by Quatsino on the Island. :)

I don't really have a good camera...but if I find it I'll try to get a snapshot of a nice one...*thanks for the tip blazyinpink*...then I'll post for the early birds that won't be up to watch it tonight...I think everyone should try to watch one once in their lifetime...its totally worth it...I've never seen anything so awesome before in my life....apparently there is a august season too which is good for meteor showers....I'll be looking a bit more into that site u posted crackdragon...thanks dude..

Try a Time Exposure... it'd look awesome with all of the meteorites streaking across, depending on how long the Exposure is you'll get the movement of the Stars as well.

Dude...I have the cheapest camera available to mankind...I bought it for a mere $25 at London Drugs...I mean the pictures turn out fine...but I don't think I have shutter control to be able to get a time exposure...or is there a way to override that feature on a piece like that?? I would be damn happy if I could get a picture like that tonight...

Totally man, + I got things to do early tomorrow...but a friend is coming with his digi...he wants to find a good spot out on a field so we can take some pictures...I guess I will be posting some of the pictures we'll take with his cam as well as mine...whichever turn out better..here he is actually gotta jet...

went for a walk to see if I could spot anything, but I guess the city lights are just too bright. I did however get to watch the fuzz bust some kids for smoking up behind a school. Good for a laugh atleast.

I showed up on this field out in coquitlam at like 2:30....had to first get smashed for my friends b_day of course.. :p
I was standing out there for a good 45 min. before I gave up...even when I got home I tried waiting outside in the backyard to see if I can get a glimpse of anything...but I didn't see NOTHING....I guess I'd have to be out in Chilliwack for this or something...It was still pretty nice out with the skies clear u could see a whole bunch of stars...but too bad I couldn't see much of the main event of the night... :(

I was already thinking that, I'll bust out the digi and the film SLR tonight. but staying up late is hard for old man derek. wonder where the best spot would be to view them...Cypress X-country area maybe?

city lights shouldnt be too bright, i have seen plenty of meteor showers in port moody. my dad used to bust out the telescope when i was little and all the kids in our townhouses would get to look at the moon before hand then we'd wait for the shower. my dad's the coolest.
time could have been off when you guys were looking, or it could be on a different day. liek yah said it could have been eastern time, and that can be a difference of 4 hours.... so it could have been happenin at midnight here.

I heard the mateo shower this morning was captivating to watch. not advertised on the news but just as breathtaking.
