Moms and Microwaves

Okay I think mothers have certain things that are engrained into their brains when they have children. I have come across one of these things, which i will now share with you all:

I have noticed that all mothers all know exactly how long to put things in the microwave for. I can literally show my mom a can of soup or a tupperwear container full of leftover pasta and she'll take one look and then say: On high for two minutes and thirty-eight seconds.

And I'll take it out and it will be perfect...not a second more, not a second less. I have tested this theory with other mothers and it holds out.

Any thoughts? Perhaps they're aliens.

Do you think they get secretly trained in a lab though? Like deep underground somewhere. Days and days of microwave training. Because, i would imagine it would take several days.

Eww! I hate microwaved anything! 'cept popcorn . . . but, nuthin' else tastes the same after it's been nuked . . hey, ever notice how it's impossible to re-heat french fries . . even in a deep fryer, just not the same the second time around.

My Mom is the same with Cooking... I'll watch her and she doesn't measure a damn thing! She just grabs the Salt or whatever and just tosses it in. Perfect everytime... I measure things to the milligram and I can still fuck it up. I'm with you on the Alien theory.

It's not just microwaves though. It's lots of weird crazy stuff.

so true..and when u screw something up..and u ask them wut to do..right away they know how to fix it without even questioning..i dont get it!! and i'll hold u to that rhianna, lol u should expect a phone call from me in 10 years

Mom's also know where you left everything. You could lose your wallet, keys, phone, pants....doesn't matter. Mom's always know where you put them.

Wondering how many of you still live at home . . god, I miss that . . for me it was more my father who had all the answers . . of course, I haven't spoken to either mother or father in almost 10 yrs . .

I don't live at home anymore..i was just remembering because i talked to my mom on the phone today.

So basically I lose things all the time and burn my food in the microwave.

^^ . . lol! I don't burn stuff (I cook for a livin') but, shit dude, I lose stuff all the time . . actually, it's more like I just misplace it. Then, when I need/want it, I tear the place apart screamin' "WHAT AM I GONNA DO NOW?" . .lol, actually, now that I think about it. .lol

SO true! i swear once i move out on my own ill be on the phone to my mom like everyday! she just knows everything! I love her :)
