Score another ten points for Spooky. You can't just blame the government or the media or spreading bad news about raves and drugs. According to Global a 17 year-old boy died from over-dosing on ecstacy and a 24 year-old girl from some other un-identified drug. No names have been released...It's a shame that more bad press has come to the "rave scene", but I'm not surprised at all...

I'd like to know how they knew that the person died from Ecstacy.
Was a toxicology exam done? Or was it a simple guess rave=ecstacy? I really don't know if you can OD on E. Bad reaction maybe, but not OD. When I was in TO I knew guys that popped tabs hourly, sure they were fucked up but they didn't collapse and die in front of me.

They died from taking what they 'thought' was ecstacy.
I'm sure there actually wasn't much MDMA in those pills. maybe PMA or DXM. In other news, there were NO deaths at a different all night rave party, also on this last weekend. This party, unlike the one with the deaths, was ILLEGAL and pretty UNsupervised. see a link here? Go underground!!!

I was just watching that and i couldn't believe it. On the news they made sure that they said that it was LEGAL , fuck it doesn't matter. And they interviewed this stupid women (i guess she's the owner of the Colliseum or something) and she starts talking about all this shit like they thought that if they held raves at the collisium nothing like that would happen. I bet those ppl bought there E at the party.... soooo stupid , they have no idea what's in it.

ya.. my sis called me and told me bout this today [during school.. i hadn't heard yet] she wanted to make sure i was alrite [she knows i do th ings.. didn't know if i had bought any from the party] and what not.. i wasn't too surprised.. alot of ppl are stupid when it comes to drugs and i'm sorry, they deserve it [in my opinion] not always.. but alot of times they're stupid about it and it's their own fault for not educating themselves.. i won't say these two ppl deserved it specifically cuz i dunno what it wa that got them or anything else bout it but ya..
blah.. i know it's gonna get mentioned so much know.. eveyrone knows i was at spooky.. ppl at school asked me how it was blah blah.. my dad told me bout the deaths [heknows i party] but meh! ppl at school are ognna be like "omg did you know 2 ppl died?" and it's gonna be annoying.. =\ ah well.. r.i.p 2 them..whoever they are..

7 caps is a lot.
I was with my friend and I saw him ingest 8 tabs of Yellow cK within a 6 hour period. Hell, I saw him take 3 tabs, put it in his mouth and washed it down with some pop. He said 'I'll take the other 3 later if I don't feel anything.' Sick part is this, he DID NOT feel anything. After 8 tabs all he wanted to do was fall asleep. I was afraid that he wouldn't ever regain conciousness if he were to fall asleep. After keeping him awake for almost 36 hours I gave up. He survived, but I'm sure he'll do something just as stupid sometime soon.

ya so..im kinda freaked...i mean...i dunno ...i mean it could just be me, but i know that shit like that doesnt happen every day. it makes us look like everything that we do at a rave is just so bad.
i guess its the chance that you take when you do things like that. what i dont understand is that no one noticed these people? why didnt someone see them? i mean ...i know that sometimes you cant tell..but what about friends? i mean its kinda like when i got to a party we watch eachothers backs..if someones sittying in a corner you know you check on them? i mean unless they just went to the party by themselves? i just dont understand i guess.... :040:

hey guys... sorry to burst your shock bubble, but this kind of thing is NOTHING new. People have been cutting mdma with stuff like PMA, DXM and who knows what else for a long time, and people have been DYING from taking too much of those pills cut with wierd shit for just as long.
just goes to show... know your dealer know your limits know your self bla bla bla... it's really too bad more people don't follow those guidelines. *shrugs* oh well. *grabs the population pruning shears*

I understand where you coming from Rytalin...and I agree with you...that’s why it’s hard for me to understand how some people could be so reckless about it.
Yes.ive made mistakes but nothing that ever caused me to be in the hospital... I just don’t understand...if you have people with you watch each other’s backs...you know if you cant set your limits let someone else do it for you... It’s a shame that these people didn’t have people around who cared enough to make sure everything was ok. And really...how many drugs can you swallow without realizing you doing something wrong...yes it’s a risk but if you careful about it then you should be ok right? I don’t know im just mad! Mad about it all...im upset that it happens. It makes me and the other 4498 people who were there that night...I hate how the media can take something and bend it to what they want...if they could look at what it really was and how many people were actually sober then maybe it wouldn’t be seen as such a bad thing and it wouldn’t be condemned so badly. Bah! People die all the time yes...cars hit them. They fall off things.... from drinking...if you look at it everything you do is a risk. Does anyone see that? More people die from cancer every day then from ODing...its not as huge as they make it seem...although its still upsetting and terrible that it happens...things are unavoidable.... like the people that have been trammeled to death a rock concerts...jumped on until they were dead...and still they have rock concerts...but what do they do to us? Take away what we see as a safe enjoyable thing... Bah!!!! Do I make any sense?

I wasn't home to watch the news last night but i did read the article in the paper this morning before school... It made me really really mad! The Province is by far the stupidest paper ever!! They totally exagerated everything. And there was a whole bunch of myths and wrong info in the article... After i read this mornings paper I asked my dad to switch to the Globe and Mail... until I found out that all the newspapers are owned by the same guy... grrr.
oh and if you have the Province look at page A17 I think it was... The fem. version of Filipino is not FILIPINA!

...anyways, the paper DOES make raves seem so terrible but it's not the RAVE that kills the person, it's the drug...but it seems like everyone is saying that raves leads to drugs and so forth...anyways, it's kinda bullshit but wutever...
i remember walking near the curtains and i saw about 4/5 parametics surrounding someone laying on the ground...that might have been one of the people who died but yah, that's some freaky shit...

It's sad that stuff like that has to happen, but in reality it's their own fault for not knowing what they're putting into their body. It's like using a previously used needle to inject your heroin, you never know whose veins it's been in. Just another reason I choose NOT to fill myself with substances. Just be careful PEOPLE!
