wtf new voices on the simpson's?
I was reading the paper a couple days ago and it said the people who do the voices for the simpsons are on strike and want more money. The paper said they may just find new people to do the voices if they can't come to an agreement. That's bullshit if the voices changed i don't even think i would watch any more.
Oh it also said flander's wife was killed off cause the person who does the voices wanted more money. |

The Simpsons is one of the most popular sitcoms on TV right now.. I can see why they're demanding more money considering that the actors from Friends were getting what, 1 million per episode for the final season?
I don't think I'd watch either if they change the voices. How could they replace Dan Castellaneta's "doh" ?? |

but don't they have contracts and shit? I doubt Fox would ever risk their situation by depending on a couple of voice jockeys. |

Realistically the Simpsons merhandise and line of toys, is bigger that probably any other show on t.V. in the past decade. Plus it is still an expensive show to advertise on because it is still so popular. Plus there are like 5 different chaneles that run Simpsons re-runs, therefore they get royalties on every episode that they air. So If some of the voice-overs want more money, then who cares, they could triple everyones pay and still be one of the most successful shows on T.V.
There are enough people out there that can do a really good impersonation of several, if not most of the characters on the simpsons. That means there could be 20 people willing to impersonate a character, and do it for $50.00 a year, while the original cast member is unhappy with $150.00 fo rhaving a fun job. All I'm saying is "Hi everybody, I'm Doctor Flip Riviera!!!" |

But, considering the popularity of the show and the merchandising and syndication revenue that it generates, 300K per episode really isn't all that unreasonable. |
