ahhhhhhhhh! this shouldn't have been retroactive... oh well, the damage is done. i must admit, occasionally i did play the devil's advocate, but mainly to accentuate the fact that anonymous pms were a bad idea.

so in the future, the giving of the karma shall be anonymous, but the person who is doing the leaving of the personal messages shall have their name attached. this way the karma system will still serve some purpose, and prevent people from being able to cowardly flame others. if the karma is kept non-anonymous, then either people will only give out good karma (skewing the results), or the probable result will be massive battles like none ever seen before on fnk.

considering that the ultimate purpose of karma is to encourage a healthy board, if the latter comes about, it will have failed completely and left us worse off.
