i agree actually....
although ive been to more 1000+ attendance parties than i have to smaller ones...i prefer the smaller parties.....actually now that i think about it...its probably somewhere around half and half... forgettable.... that was seriously the most uneducated remark ive heard in the last little while...we are all dumber for having read it..... corrie

That's fucking weak. Whatever.. Massives can be fun too, seriously. It's just all about having fun no matter what. Personally, I find that "underground" parties are a FUCK of a lot more clique-y... It can be kind of a turn off. But shrug.. Whatever. I just go to dance and have fun. [ Do drugs, occasionaly. ] But yeah. If there's happy hardcore there, massive or underground.. I usually like to be there. :) So if HHC turns mainstream.. I'm going to ALL the motherfucking massives! Hehehehehe. Sigh.. But still, you can't just swear off one type of party and tell everyone that they, NO MATTER WHAT, suck.. Just because YOU prefer the smaller "tighter" vibe.. I like massives sometimes.. It's just.. It's nice to be going off SO HARD in a crowd of tons of people and no-ones standing there pointing and laughing.. Either cause they're too into the music, or wayyyyy too high to care! I do not understand you people!!! How can you flat-out say that "MASSIVES SUCK!" I mean they may suck for you, but that is just your opinion. I'm sorry, but not everyone is so fucking elite as you to attend their special little 'underground parties'... It really seems like some kind of badge of honour.. "Oh I goto UNDERGROUND parties!" Big fuckin' deal! Sure, sometimes the music isn't quite as mainstream, but that's only because it's catered to a more specific group of people rather than the vast amount of people who go to "mainstream" parties. I like massives. It just seems really fun to me.. There is not the clique-y kind of vibe that you seem to get at smaller parties.. I am sorry, but from what I've heard about what smaller parties USED to be, and what I am experiencing now.. It is just NOT the same.. So stop trying to make it the same? Maybe if you stop acting like such fucking elitists, things will get better... But don't act like you're some fucking hardcore subculture. Really. Being a 'raver' is NOTHING SPECIAL! ANYONE CAN DO IT! Just goto a fucking rave, you are a raver!! Auuuughhhh!!!!

I half-assed agree with zarlon...however, it's not that underground parties are the way to go. However, massives just attract the WRONG fucking people. I'm sorry, but I work at them and I see the type of people that they attract. Sure it is fun because there's so many people there and you lose your buds for hours, but it's not fun taking tons of people to first aid because they are influenced by those around them. It's also not fun dealing with all the people whom have shit stollen and immediately think it's YOUR fault! Give me a break!!! It's also not fun when you take someone to first aid, and find out he/she is only 14 years old!!! Or just seeing those 14-15 year olds at a party! Massives seem to allow that, and allow those youngens to have the chance of being influenced by those around them. Sure some of them are smart enough to say no, however many are not. Underground parties at least have the chance of setting an age restriction, and keeping the wrong people out. Raves are raves, they always will be, however it's the PEOPLE who are ruining them! That's my two cents...

Massives = commercial moneygrabs, sometimes with good headliners, but mostly mediocre lineups. Underground = tighter group of people, and extremely cliquey and full of politics. You can have fun at either one, depending on what sort of attitude you bring with you to the party. personally, the 2 massives I've been to haven't been too great though. That could have something to do with the ammount of methamphetamine that went up my nose at both of them though, so I think maybe I should go to a few more and see how I like them now.

But still! Those people will be doing stupid things NO MATTER WHAT.. It is just up to you to ignore them as best you can, Or deal with them if you have to, as best you can. Heh. I'm 15. That's funny. I guess I really shouldn't be at parties, or something. But I don't think I'm really immature about it.. I mean I am fairly responsible and I don't go and pop like five billion caps and go around "IM SO HIGH HI I LOVE YOU WILL YOU HUG ME HI PLUR!" hahhahaha! :P But yeah. You do have a very good point.. But how do you determine the responsibility level that one should have to be at parties. Hmm.. I think that you really can't.. It's the individuals choice, and since the beginning of time people have been giving themselves more responsibility than they know what to do with.. And they have also been over-estimating their coping skills too. As long as we have that as a problem, the whole "stupid kids at parties" thing will always come up.. But hey, it's up to you to have the good time. I just really fuckin' hate the clique-y vibe that's at the underground parties. It's kind of like "Hey! if you don't fit into our little CRU, then you are a nobody!" Blah.. It just makes for too many problems. Err, ya I went off too hard about this.. Sorry?

If you read my reply PROPERLY you'd notice I said, "Sure some of them are smart enough to say no, however many are not." I didn't make a generalization what so ever! It's also just a LITTLE bit different when I'm WORKING at the events, when I am taking little puking, convulsing, disorientated kids to first aid! I can't just IGNORE them hun, it's my fucking job! It's my job to take care of ignorant kids? Yup! I wish I could ignore them, but someone has to look out for them or there's a law suit waiting to happen. It's not just the responsibility level here, that bugs me...it's the fact that half those young kid's parents don't even KNOW where their kids REALLY are! That's the problem!! If something should happen to them, we have to contact their parents...oh boy isn't that a shocker for them! "Hello, is this Mr. or Mrs. SOandSo? Well your son/daughter is at the following rave, at this location, and is on his/her way to the hospital due to doing too many drugs!" Yup, most parents don't know their young kids are at a rave, NOR doing drugs! I'm sorry but it starts to hurt us, when we have to face those issues. You can't ever measure someone's maturity level because they will always be the age they are!! Plain and simple! Maybe you are a bit smarter Zarlon (though I do remember you making some BIG ass mistakes too) but you ARE only 15! Remember that! You may of had some good life experience, but you don't have THAT much! It's not anything personal that I think age restrictions are a good idea, but it lessens up the stress I deal with working at such events! Take a good look at my point of view!
I agree with you underground parties have many more cliques! I totally agree with that! Though I don't hate it either! If you are at those parties, then you must know someone and fit in somewhere, so it shouldn't matter! But try to look at things from my point hun! I'm not flaming any young kids what so ever! Just stating an opinion based on WORKING at events! OK?

How old are you? 18? :) Well whatever, people will always be the age they are but that does not neccesarily mean they are a SPECIFIC WAY.. I could say all 19 year olds are condescending wanna-be elitist bastards.. but that's not true about ALL of them.. Just some of them are like that. I *am* 16 in like two weeks, heh. So I'm not on the short end of 15.. And I do remember you saying that you've made some big-ass mistakes too, so really. It's not that much of a difference, when it comes down to it. I've basically learned my lesson concerning a few things, and I have yet to experiment. BUT! I would WAY rather experiment with these things at home, with a few friends. With a nice warm winter jacket, or a hoodie on, and some good music in an indoor massive.. You feel like you're high anyways from being over-heated! :) So I dunno. Parties are *way* confusing anyways.. You don't need 'chemicals' to mess j00 up.. Heh. I guess that's what it comes down to, being able to have fun WITHOUT drugs. But you will have those people at EVERY party, Underground or not. The difference is that at 'massives' they will have people to deal with it, therefore it is kind of a safer environment. Hm. Whatever, The voice of us 'younguns' is not heard as well as of you other people. :) But I'll still go off real hard about this shit, Werd. Tehehehehe. But yeah, working there would be rough. I can *kind* of understand, yet not fully.. because I haven't worked there myself. But.. Yeah. Kids should REALLY smarten up. Oh well. I can't really change the way the world thinks, unfortunately. I could cause some major damage though, if I could.. *evil grin*

Sorry hun! But you also tend to wise up & mature when you live in your own place, pay your own bills and are forced to take care of yourself because no one else will! Whatever us 19+ EVIL people will always worry about those younger kids at parties and shake our heads. Due to being older, kids always look up to the older ones! That's how it works in the world! No you wouldn't understand because you don't work at events and until you have someone pretty much dying in your arms, puking all over your clothes and not making anything they say make sense. Maybe all us 19+ people ARE condescending wanna-be elite bastards! Who the fuck knows! But I'm trying to say you don't know the whole world hun! So back down! If you haven't worked at an event, had kids pretty much dying in your arms, then don't speak like you know what I AM TALKING ABOUT! You already admitted you don't! SO back off!
