The most scared you have ever been
Ok I'm interested to hear what was the scariest moment thus far for you in your life. What made your hands shake and heart tremble.
For me was when I was scuba diving in south america and I was down about 40' below sea level and ran out of air. Yep later I found out that my breathing aparatus had a small leak and when I t hought I had 15 mins left I actually had 30 secs. Thankfully I was diving with a bunch of friends and they clued into my situation pretty fast but man it took everything I had to not panic. Pretty scared that day. G |

having a gun pulled to my head by my skitzophrenic father in a church during my cousins chrissining ceremony. 1997.
probably would've pissed/shit myself if i had 1 more cup of coffee earlier that morning. or watching my best friend come insanely close to dying from cholitis right infront of me in the hospital. 2002. a lotta other shit probably should've scared me, but most of the time i'm too stupid to realize how lucky i am to be able to make it through the day alive. |

When I found out my mum had breast cancer. Or how about the time I found out she had skin cancer but I had no one to tell because my best friend was to cracked out on jib to care
And every time that same best friend would go missing and not call me for days. I was pretty sure he was dead in a ditch some where. |

When my Dad passed away, definitely. I had no idea what my life was going to be like, and I felt like I had no one to turn to because he was my best friend =\
The second scariest was when I almost drowned when I was 7...luckily my Dad's best friend dove into the pool to save me - there was a large toddler on my head. |

I haven't had that many moments where I was truly scared.
But one that really sticks out is when my father got pinned in the door of his blazer by a car that rolled down and shut the door on his leg. He couldnt move and was screaming and I was like 8 years old in the passenger seat. There was like nobody to help us. I had to run for help. I was so terrified. It's hard to see someone that has always seemed to big and strong in your life look so helpless. |

The sunday after Grand Finale ...I had done 5 caps..and i was coming down, shaking and shit until monday morning. I honestly was wishing that i would die because i was in so much pain. I couldnt understand what was happening to me, i had all this water to drink and i had some sorta stage fright all day(i couldnt go pee)..i felt like my stomache was guan explode cuz i felt like i had to go so bad but it just wasnt leavin! I was in tears cuz i was so scared. Lesson learned for me tho...i'll never do more than 2 caps again.

I was doing my PADI course in a pool dive. I was supposed to take my regulator out of my mouth and then wait 5 seconds, put it in and exhale. my instructor signed to me that I had to do it again because I wasnt blowing little bubbles (lung expansion) This was still all in one breath.. I did it right with bubbles and everything. Put my regulator back into my mouth.. Inhaled instead of exhaling. Got a nice mouthfull of water. pressed on my BCD and went straight up to the surface while guzzling large amounts of water. I could've easily killed myself. Your lungs can blow up if you rise too fast..
No in the ocean dive which is 30' i did it perfectly and passed all my tests.. word up. |

There's different kinds of scary, there's those sudden bad things that happen..then there's more gradual terror
Like getting into a car accident with my brother on the highway, very high speed, and just scary. The worst part is we totaled my mum's car- on mother's day. We were all pretty much okay, except I spent my 16th birthday lying in bed because of back pain. About a year ago I discovered a tumor in my body, feeling it for the first time really freaked me out. Going to the dr, and finding out there was more, was even scarier. Getting the tests done and then just playing the waiting game to find out if I had cancer was definitely scary. Being 20 and having to think about your own mortality makes everything stand still. Luckily, I didn't have cancer! |
