hiding in the pliant thighs
A million faded photographs of a thousand illicit dreams Fade in a watershed of wilted sheets and stained lips
Curl and drip from the broken plaster facade under Neath the fantasies a white cracked crawling reality Ants hiding in the pliant thighs and eyes Duct tape and stains hold together the cockroach mattress Weavel and dust mites feast on the blood, sweat, and sin While curling eyes wash cream faces clean in the rain How many boys dreams crack splinter seep from the walls How many decades how many boys how many pasted magazines How many girls how many sweat stained poses how many days Took place before the roof came in and the plaster gave Rain stolen memories and insect safe havens and dreams lost With a sin of nature sometime today abandoned in the rain |
