bicycle cops!!!!

So i had heard my small ass town was gona be getting some bicycle cops like a month ago and totally forgot about it, then last night i was comin home from work on my bike what do I see 8 of them coming towards me in a big fucking pack, i got a ticket for not wearing a helmet,my first thought was wap a nut and get the fuck out of there then i noticed they were riding 4000$ konas and i was on my bmx so id have no chance.Way to go fort nelson lets get a 1/3 of the cops on bikes so they can give out helmet infractions rather then doing real police work.

have u seen the new motorbike cops? i THINK they have the same bikes in van..but on my way to work, i saw a pack of 6 motorbike cops....NEW BMW motorbikes....watch out speeders...

I saw the BMW Cops when I was in Vic... not bad rides at all. As for Bike Cops in Fort Nelson? ROTFLMFAO! I'd hate to be those buggers chasing someone out of town up that fukken hill by the river.

i asked them why the fuck there was so many of them out and i quess it was there first day so hopefully they wont cruise in huge groups like that or im gona be paying lots of 29$ fines. maybe ill just go to court for them i doubt theyd show up for helmet tickets and they will all get thrown out.

HA! In the Ottawa region helmets were optional after you turned 18...

Anyone in an accident without a helmet is getting a worse penalty than any fine could dish out, perhaps the ultimate price. I guess you can't pay taxes and fines when your dead though, so no wonder they got this law.

^^true, but if you're riding on the sidewalk to the corner store, odds are you'll be OK. when I'm out on my road bike, yeah, I wear a helmet. when I'm riding on the trails, sure. but when cruising to the corner store? fuck it. But I am A LOT more expierinced then 99.9% of the cyclists out there, which means the law should not apply to me cuz I am so great.

Wow...The most I have seen here in PoCo is community volunteer people that like drive around and keep an eye on the streets to make sure no one is vandalizing anything...If so they can't do anything...Alll they will do is they will contact the cops...

Most likely it was one of the first nights with the bikes. Thus it was probably a training exersice, so that's why they were probably in a big group.

But you do deserve the ticket. You knew the rules, you broke it, suck it in and pay the fine.

I've had bike cops sneak up on me a few times, never bin charged or fined though just had some weed and paint confiscated a few times.
