Who are the players that dominate the NHL right now?
This post is a better post than the last. Ok in the past 4 years which players have dominated the game.
Such as say one player I think dominates the NHL is Peter Forsberg. He's tough, stickhandles very well, scores and passes. He is a very rounded player. Though he has slipped a little thanx to injuries. So there is one now add to the list and give reasons why. You can add as many asy you think, but don't necessarily choose your favorite players, cause they must be a player who excels in all aspects of the game. |

on further thought i will not comment on this thread but all i have to say is i dont think Bertuzzi as much as the tv/radio say hes a dominating power forward. well hes not. he hasnt established himself fully yet. 1 year he'll be a dominating force finishing in career high for points. then last season he starts to play some pussy style. Your a power forward damn it now show that you are

Now meaning 2003 he became a permitter shooter, and hence his goals dropped hugely. He isn't a finess player, he is a power forward. Last edited by KenJi; Jun 12, 04 at 06:54 AM. |

Man I want the early 90's kinda scoring back in the League haha.
Not really 80's style of scoring cause I would just feel sorry for the goalies with their 3.00 G.A.A. but like early 90's like when pittsburgh won the cup and even when vancouver went to the finals, scoring was still at a pretty good pace |

i suppose an obligatory iginla reference is in place. but he did showcase all of his skills in these playoffs. too bad he has no supporting cast.
federov dominates the game in a puck control type of way. his prescence on the ice is amazing imo. he makes so many things happen. and not just offensively. but i'd vote for forsberg again. hell he had a decent amount of points this year and he was injured practically 2 out of 3 games. |

Jagr before could dominate the game in many ways too, only problem with Jagr is, nowadays you never know which Jagr is gonna show up for the year.
Back in the early 90's it was always the dominant Jagr. Even with Mario out he still shone well. |

^ ya no kidding eh, I could see Vincent Lecavalier in particular become full fit to lead on the ice. He has the size and skill, he just needs to find the grit and heart. Richards has been getting better every year. Who know where lecavalier, richard and st louis are going to be.
Iginla was pretty dominant this year, and really came out of his shell. Naslund is a good player, but he is strictly a finesse player. Meaning he likes to stick handle, score but not really dish out the hits, and take the hits though recently he has become a little more physical in his play. Nash could become a great player, if only he weren't on columbus. We all know he is a great goal scorer, but we have no idea how his play making abilities are. Especially in terms of passing cause well there really is no one to pass to thats gonna score haha. |
