Ok, this may be a rumour, but someone told me that the plans for the Casino at Plaza did not work out and they're not going to shut it down. True or False?

Casino is slated to be open this September 2004 once they renovate the interior and install the gaming equipment.

You know they pump oxygen into casinos so it keeps you up longer...Which if you can stay up longer you will be in the casino longer until you blow all your money and have nothing left...I HATE CASINOS!

...Why would this be a good thing anyways?

The city would lose out on the chance for millions of dollars to be pumped into it. Until raves generate enough tourism and revenue to even compare to a casino, I'd keep my mouth shut ;)

The problems gambling brings to the poverty stricken far exceed the $$$ the gov't is going to get from the revenue sharing.

The elbow casino in Calgary has craps. There is craps on the Stampede grounds too.

BC is getting craps tables next month.
