I was just wondering do asians, or oriental type girls like to date caucasian guys?
I've seen very few together.
My brother married a japanese woman, she said that in Japan if you are a white male you would have no problem getting girls. Why does that not work here?

cause they are already in Canada. Come to richmond to see the asian/caucasian couples.. it only costs 2 bucks to get in, and around feeding time they are most amusing. Careful, they fling poo!

I don't kno why its different over here. When I was in Japan I had a guy friend that was white and he got lotsa ladies too. I have a thing for azn guys and i couldn't get any when i was there :( .

why do white guys get so much attention in japan? i used to date a jap girl and she told me bout this phenomenon.

my theory is that over in japan, conforming to the group is extremely important, whereas here in the west, individuality is stressed. so in japan, people follow the group, i.e. share the same opinion, values, beliefs, etc... but inside they are screaming for a way to express their individuality. perhaps this explains why their fashion style is so... eye-catching at times. like i said, this is just my theory... i could be wrong. but i think in japan, where the fascination with all things western is so profound, to be with a white guy is considered extremely fashionable... cuz no other jap girl would be able to claim the same experience due to the lack of white ppl in jpn.

anyways, kinda off topic... but hey im an asian guy... although born and raised in vancouver, ive always been into asian girls, but now starting to take notice of white girls now... good to be open-minded right? ;)

yet why do u see less asian guys with white girls? once again... just a theory... but i think that asian parents would prefer to see their sons with asian girls... for marriage purposes especially.

I am a guilty "wonderbread queen". there were also statistics on the news about which ethnicity was likeliest to hook up with white boy, and I'm sure this won't come as a suprise:

japanese.

I personally haven't often found asian men particularly physically attractive.. and those whom I've found semi-attractive have white-boy facial features. This has probably a lot to do with the fact that I've been raised by a media that emphasizes whiteness. (prince charming is always white!) I have also experienced many asian guys who carry on their parents' traditonal views with regards to many things that I just can't follow or accept.. but that's just personal experience..

This is true for girls too with regards to what I find attractive in women. If I were to draw/paint a subject I would prefer caucasian features as opposed to asian. I just have found them to be more animated and expressive.. particularly with the largeness of the eyes and the various definitions in the face..bone structure... etc.

de ken - lol yea only in recent years have i started to taek notice of white girls. still more into the asians though but when i say asian i really just mean chinese more often then not.

asians chicks with white guys i see pretty often but white chicks with asian guys are not seen as often but theres still a shit load.

IMO

Japan seems to be the most liberal of asian countries and seem to have no issue with western culture. My gf's half-chinese, half french and i know her grandparents are more comfortable with the prospect of having great-grandchildren than they are with having a lo-fan (chineese for "outsider") in their family. On the other hand, asian-caucasian kids seem to make for attractive kids.

i think you may have hit the nail on the head, maybe asian parents are fine with the white boys that their daughters go out with/marry but alot of the asian guys i know have anal retentive moms that ride their ass about everything, and maybe, because they feel differently about their sons. They might not be as understanding when their son brings home a white/brown/black girl.
