Was I in the wrong?
This situation happened to me yesterday and the other person invovled is blowing it out of control. She has her side too but this is how I see it.
Background: There is girl I only really hang out with her because she hangs out with my friends. my friends and only really hang out because we are all english speaking exchange students. This one girl Suzy always comes over to my house un-invited and lays around like its her place and wont leave when she should. And trys to sleep over too. It drives me nuts. Me and my roomate have an open fridge policy we eat whatever. The problem¨: I come home late one night to find this take out in my fridge. I knew it wasnt my roommates because she is a vegetarian and it had shrimp in it. But it was in my fridge so i ate it. Suzy comes over the next day and flips at me because I ate her food. Thats her arguement that i ate her food knowing it was hers. My arguement is that it was in my fridge so I ate it. But she wants to make a big deal trashing me to other friends. yeah what do you think? Mike |

You're fridge, and I am guessing she did not leave anything to indicate that it was hers anyways..
Even if she did, it's still your fridge, and the open fridge policy is known about. Too damn bad for her. Personally, I would let her know that it is not acceptable for her to be hanging out all the time, spending nights, etc... |

It's your fridge, if she wanted it all for herself she shouldn't have left it there in the first place.
A little leftover takeout is a small price to pay to people who let you treat their house like it's your own. So nah, you weren't in the wrong. |

what was her food doing in YOUR fridge? Doesn't she live anywhere where she has fridge of her own?
You're definitely not in the wrong. If she really had to put her food in your fridge and planned on eating it later, she should have labelled it or left you a note. |

Well my roomate was supose to tell me not to eat it. But I didnt see her.
It was so good too. I cant be to mean to her like i would normally do. Because we are working on a HUGE project together and cant let hate get in the way. |

but yes, to say what everyone else has said already, it's your fridge, therefore you can eat it. just consider it payback for her being an imposing uninvited house guest. was it good shrimp? |

There's only one sure-fire way to get rid of this wench. Use your pimp skills, pound her senseless, tell her she was terrible, and she'll never come back to your place again. No more fridge problems, no more lounging around your pad, no more wench. This is a no-brainer.
