Yes, throwing your beer cans on the ground is littering! I'm sorry, I'm not a tree-hugger or anything, but I do live in the mountains and it's a beautiful place. And when you see something on the ground that doesn't belong there, like a beer can, it really makes things look a little disgusting.
It's disrespectful. We live in a beautiful place, and we should keep it that way. |

Its littering if you just toss it on the ground.
How hard is it to walk up to the nearest trash can and place it on the ground next to the bin, or on the lid? Not that hard. Keeps the trash off the ground, and still keeps the cans out of the landfill and the hobos happy. |

*LOL*
it's always the 'bums' that come and pick up your tossed cans is it? what about those cute elderly Asian couples that are out with their wagons and carts collecting? They aren't homless (at least the ones i have met), they just see our can tossing as waste - and they liked the 'free money' aspect Its because we live in a city like Vancouver that has less fortunate people, (that we assume will pick up after us) ya, what about in the burbs? Or if you are out drinking in the woods or on the beach...WHAT ABOUT BUMLESS AREAS ;) When i can't recycle, I leave mine beside the can |
