Event information

Three countries will participate in the HSBC Celebration of Light competition.

2004 Schedule
Wednesday, July 28 — China
Saturday, July 31 — Sweden
Wednesday, August 4 — Spain
Saturday, August 7 — Grand Finale

Location: English Bay, Vancouver
Start time: 10:00 p.m. rain or shine
Music simulcast begins at 10:00 p.m. on radio station ROCK 101 (101.1 FM).

Estimated annual attendance: 1.4 million people.

Best viewing points: English Bay, Kitsilano, Vanier Park, Jericho Beach, West Vancouver. The event is free to watch from public parks and beaches.

Ohh I totally forget.. I belive its a pretty good view tho, theyre just in the distance a little bit. I'll be able to tell ya after the first set of em on the 27th if im home to watch!

Okay well my mom said theres an observatory (sp?) at the top of the building but only the people with the penthouse places are allowed to use it. I'll see if I can gain sum access to that or the roof.. and if not we can use my balcony :P

i like fireworks but i fucking hate the celebration of light.

too many drunken dumbasses and too many slow people.
i fucking hate the crowds i just want 2 smash everyone in sight. The ghetto birds always fun to watch on the way back to your car tho.
