is it? i have no clue! i thought i was just going to be accepted into general arts because i was missing a course requirement for comp sci but i applied anyways.. i was really surprised when i phoned in and they said that i had been accepted into the comp sci department!

i need to go talk to a counsellor or something though because i have no clue what courses i need to take... universities are confusing

if i may interject with some unsolicited advice, make friends with everyone in your class. make friends with the profs and go out for lunches with everyone you know who works for money with computers, heh. there are a lot of tech jobs, but a good 60-70% are filled through contacts and dont hit the papers/sites. people say there is a tech shortage, but really the tech shortage is only for people who want a job and have no contacts with others.

ps if im still working here when you get out i an probably get you a job, what kind of stuff you interested in?

yeah, connections are really important - especially in the tech sector. but when people say there's a tech shortage its hard to believe especially since ive been able to get a tech job every summer for the past 3 years. thanks for interjecting with that unsolicited advice :) i'd give you karma but you have it disabled

ps. im into programming, moreso web programming, but any kind of code writing is fun. ive only been able to get QA jobs lately though since its hard finding companies who hire junior summer-only programmers.

Heh.

Have fun. Take as many classes as you can with Brad Bart. He can be confusing, and works at a rather accellerated pace, but goddamn the man knows _A LOT_. Probably one of my favourite profs up there.

Join the Bridge club too. =)
