need advice ASAP
It's a thread that comes up time and time again...and now its my turn.
Bear with me guys. It's my boyfriend's 25th birthday today. I organized a semi-suprise gathering of all our/his friends at one of our favorite pubs for dinner/drinks tonight, but I still haven't got him a gift. I know what he likes but I'm at a loss for something useful and thoughtful and not so mushy that I can't give it to him in front of his friends. His interests include: -cars (he's a certified auto mechanic) -cooking (also a certified chef, minus the red seal) -bodybuilding -business/money (rich dad, poor dad; network marketing; that kind of stuff) -travel (we're going to europe in november) I have less that 12 hours to come up with something. Any suggestions are appreciated! ~jessica |

suppliment might not be a bad idea although creatine can be expensive if he doesn't use it.
Maybe cook him a special dinner ( ya i saw your going out, but on a later date). He likes cars eh? well Kraig just posted the Indy is in town, maybe get tickets for that |

myra: 6 months, and we're simple people (woops, came out wrong, but that sounded so funny I'm going to leave it there anyways, lol) so I wasn't planning extravagant...
however. we are pretty seriously committed to eachother, live together, share a very similar 5 year plan, etc. so I'm trying to go more "simple yet thoughtful" than "big and expensive and impersonal" |

In that case I'd go for something that is pratical that he knows he needs, but he feels is too 'extravagant' to afford (we've all got like a few things on that list)- because at this point you know him, so getting the standard unthoughtful gift might suck. As for exactly what, you probably know what the answer is! |

does he have a really nice traveler back pack yet for europe?
if not...get him one of those (make that the big gift if you want) and fill it with stuff like: money pouch (for the money part) the lonely planet...europe edition (for the traveling) a few hot wheels (for the car lover) a cookbook (cause he's a chef) and some energy bars (cause he's a bodybuilder) |
