My roomate and I are going to throw these up on mail boxes around town. So far, these are our favorite three.

I'm particularly happy with #1 as well, though, because the human figure is actually a real person (my gf) from a real photo I took - that's 100% authentic work. The lion was scanned from the same stamp we used to make the outline, and the girl is from an ad for the VPL.

Yeah, I'm pretty jazzed. I'll maybe have a go at it tomorrow night. I figure, if I get caught it will be pretty easy to plead 'public art'

I mean, they're stamps... on MAILBOXES. If that's not innocent enough, I don't know what is.

It depends what part we cut out, and what colours we use. If we use light background, dark foreground, it will look like the avatar, if we use the reverse it will look like the pic I uploaded. I prefer the light bg/ dark fg. Probably will use a wierd light pink/beige like muslin for the bg and a red or purple for the fg.

the dark background, light foreground gives it a creepy negative look to it.

kinda like the poster for blair witch project.

next time im hopping on a bus ill take a pic. i was really impressed with it.

its funny at my school for....i think it was printmaking, the teacher assigned a project for students to go out and stencil aroudn their community and take pics of it.. and the catch was not to be caught. what an awesome assignment eh. i love my school.

Just for your own information, the 'england clothing logo' is a 'bite'. It comes from the royal crest of england: the lion.

but it resembeles the england clothing logo allot, their logos vary but the lion is quite similar to one of their shirt designs

yeah, fair enough. It doesnt surprise me that someone with 'England' in the name would choose such a visibly English image as their logo.
