s'up kids...some advice?

hey y'all

i used to check out these boards pretty often, although that was WAY back in the day. (props to anyone who can remeber my ancient ass) i thought i'd see what kind of advice you guys can give a girl heading back to the west coast after way too long.
i'm moving to van for skool in a few months and i'm sure there are some things i need to know....
anyone? anything? how about we start with where i should (or should NOT) be looking for a place.

thanks for any advice

Well it all depends on where u wanna look live. And you budget. If you wanna live downtown start lookin now. If you wanna nice place with low rent start lookin now. But othewise dont worry about it. There is a lot of places for rent.

Alot cheaper too, and yes port moody is growing. Lots of high rises , and apartments, and nice houses too.

Hmmmmmmmm...

Well I would first start by considering looking at the city your school is located in and the easiest bus/skytrain route to the school. -- Since you are coming here to go to school and studies are important, an easy commute to/from should be as well. (This is of course assuming you don't have a car.)

Finding a transit friendly route to school and home is best as it ultimately will allow you to come downtown to the clubs to chillax on your days/weekends off.

Cheers.

port moody is great, but if your school isnt close it kinda sucks. takes me only an hour to get to cap college in the morning, but at least and hour and half to get home. and thats no fun when your wasted from school.
i hear ubc is a bitch to get to from here.
however sfu, douglas, an some others are not too bad.
i would look for a palce close to your school.
