hmmm..
well mabye i should get checked or something kuz thats what i've been feeling like lately

i'm always super tired.. and i feel light headed sometimes when i walk around and i always drink a shit load of water and juice..

hmm..

Frequent thirst
Frequent urination
Unexplained weight loss
Increased hunger
Blurry vision
Frequent or recurring skin infections
Wounds that don't heal

ya i had some of those
so many people would notice me drinking glasses after glasses of water and also eating wayyyy more than usual
then losing weight...thats when i started freaking out

i take 2 different kinds right now
novorapid and novolin NPH

i have a strict diet which sucks so much cuz i'm used to eating all the time and whatever i want...i can eat 60 carbs for breakfast, 80 for lunch and dinner and 40 for snacks
i want your diet

yeah when i was first dignosed they made me watch what i eat
but now im on that fast acting insulin mixed with NPH humalin

and then u have to wear that medic alert bracelet or necklace too

how long did you have to be on the diet for? this is killing me!!! i have to be pretty constent right now with when i eat until my blood sugar levels go down. in the beginning i was in the 20's and now i'm down to 14-16. what are your usual readings??

me im usually range from the 3' all the way to the 16's
it all depends what i do that day
i was on the diet for about 5 years but thats because they didnt have the fast aciting inselin
but yeah it takes time to get use to
the doctors always say to get lots of exercise it will bring your blood sugars down greatfully
and you should feel alot better

my dad gets all crazy and stupid...
like he's really drunk when he gets a reaction...
it's pretty bad... it's like he's a baby again and has no memory of what happens. My mom has to feed him a shit load of sugar in a small glass of juice or something

it's scary

i don't get enough exercise anymore cuz i quit field hockey and stuff
do you think it would be smart to join a health club or something? i have soo many questions...maybe i can talk to you on icq or something if you have it? i don't know many people that have diabetes at all so i'd love to chat with you about it if thats alright.

I'm a type one Diabetic, have been since March '88.

It's very frustrating growing along with the new treatments, but I'm glad I didn't get it before insulin was around, otherwise you'd be dead in a year. Getting insulin-dependent Diabetes used to be a death sentence.

yup yup im on humalog
i could have been on it when it first came out but the thought of all the needles scared me but in the long run it turned out wayyyyyy better for me
