Bully @ Work
I work at this townhouse complex. It's 4 buildings really, about 180 units total.
Anyways, this is really about this one crackhead who lives in one of the buildings. It started a year or so ago. I was doing my walkthrough in the morning, when I heard some yelling in the hallway on the top floor of one of the buildings. I went to investigate, and "crackhead" was trying to start shit with the residents directly above his suite. The residents in question were an elderly couple and their son, who was in his 20's. Anyways, I tried to simmer everyone down. It defused the situation, but crackhead got angry at me. He confonted me in the elevator, and tried to goad me into a fight, which I did not want to get into. He went away eventually, and of course I had to tell my superiors about this. The residents from the suite above his also filed a complaint with me against crackhead. I don't know what action was taken after that. Since that day, crackhead has harbored bitter feelings towards me. Whenever he sees me, he give the dirty look, finger, expletive, idle threat whatever. He won't do it when I'm with other people though, but when I'm by myself, he goes all out. I avoid the areas where he's most likely to be like the plague. Thank God he doesn't use the gym or pool room. However, sometimes I just can't help running into him. I know most of the resident's schedules. I know who uses which room at what time for how long during which days. Their schedules are like clockwork. Except for crackhead. I don't know if he works, or what he does during the day, but his schedule is very erratic. So, on Saturday, I ran into him again. He was on his bicycle. He backed me against the door which I had just come out of, and had his front wheel pinned between my legs (no running!) and was right up in my face. Him and his roommate (who I get along with) are trying to sell their place and leave the complex, so he said to me (after his usual expletive and idle "bash your teeth in" threat): "I'll be seeing you one more time before I leave" Now, we all know what this means. So, I had it. I called the cops that afternoon. I saw them on Sunday morning, and explained the situation. We all agreed that had crackhead wanted to do something, he would have done it by now, and by the looks of it he's just getting his kicks from being a knob. He really has no reason to be angry at me. I told him I'd like to make peace with him before he leaves, he said no, I asked him to give me a legitimate reason as to why he was still angry at me. He said "Cuz you stick your nose in other people's business" The cops tried to have a talk with him, to threaten him with legal action if he comes near me, but he wasn't home. The cops who were assigned to my case won't be back to work until Friday. Until then, he's still gonna be a major prick. Anyways, a thought came into my head. Next time he confronts me, and threatens me with bodily harm I was just gonna call him out. Tell him if he wants to do anything to me, he should do it now, or forever be a bullshitter who talks big but can't do shit. I think this might accomplish 1 of 2 things: - Get him off my case, or atleast stop with the threats because he won't do them anyways or - Make him angry enough to actually do something, whereupon we throw the book at him The second option could potentially see me getting badly hurt. It's the more unlikely of the two though, but there's still no guarantee it won't happen. This crackhead has irrational behavior. He once challeneged our old property manager (65 yr old man) to a fight. He's also been in trouble with the law before. My co-worker has to testify at a court hearing in November concerning crackhead, or give a statement. Has to do with crackhead getting arrested sometime ago for impersonating a cop. What would you do in a situation like this? |

I'd really like to just fuck this guy over. Hell, I have keys to his suite :D but the cops told me that as long as I stood on the side of the law, the law would be on my side. I'd like to keep it that way. |

SEAN! you and I think way to similar... it creeps me out.
So yeah, next time he confronts you let him push or punch you first. Pull out a pipe, knife, baton, bottle, sword... whatever. It's self defence cause he came at you fists flyin ;) |
