Turntable Repair
Arrrgh. Ok i had a "new puppy" incident with my tech 12 2 weeks ago. Lets just say a small amount of water dripped into the pitch slide. The pitch control was working fine for a week but i just went catostrophic. anyone know if this is somthing that can be fixed or is the deck a write off?
anyone lese have similar experiences? BOOOOOO -Kyle |

Id just leave it off, and let it dry, if its just water, I dont see how that would damage stuff, I dumped a whole water on my motherboad in my pc, and I just let it dry for a week upside down and it was fine..
leave it off and dry it out, unless its already shorted something, then best of luck to you, hope you get it fixed man :D |

K i got my turntable fixed, seeing as some of you might be in the same situation as me ill let you know where i went.
First of all i pretty much narrowed down what my problem was by posting here and on other message boards, I figured i shorted out my pitch board, and i was right. I called masterplan and Commercial electronics, they said that before tax and shop fees i was looking at $250 bucks for replacment of the pitch board (by the way a new pitch board is $28), and i would be waiting about a week. So after those two quotes i called the "old guy" that runs Patterson Audio, he said he would be a lot cheaper. I dropped off the table @ 2pm, its now 5pm and he just called me saying the job was done and the cost after tax was $118. $118 for same day service is pretty amazing, look him up if you need work done, you'll save a ton of cash |
