oh, don't get me wrong the preview looks wicked, but the fact that their in it just seems weird, especially since the only line ryan renolds has in the preview is something to the effect of "i used to be a vampire" and Jessica Biel has far as I can tell is whistler's daughter. bizarro.

Hmmm, I never really liked the first one all that much. I found the second one to be a little better as we got to see a little bit more of the vampire world. Action sequences were nice to watch as were the effects (a step up from the fist installment) and I enjoyed the wry humor slid into it alot more than the out-and-out action movie that was the first Blade film.
This third movie, judging from the trailer, doesn't look to be as good. The script was rewritten a couple of times. The first draft had it taking place many years later, with vampires ruling the earth, breeding humans like cattle, and Blade awol and believed dead. This would've made for a much more exciting movie. As it is, this incarnation of Blade Trinity has the plot centering around the unearthing and resurrection of Dracula or some such old master vampire. It just doesn't seem compelling to me and the addition of Jessica Biel, as little more than eye candy, really, was a big letdown. Plus, didn't the vamps KILL Whistler's whole family anyway? I guess if they could bring Whistler back then they can do anything. It would be nice to see a movie w/ Blade & Spiderman like the old Marvel comics but that doesn't look too likely. In any case, the new Batman movie looks way better and less fantasy based, which will be a nice departure from the direction of previous Batman debacles. |
